2nd Test: Pakistan vs South Africa @ Port Elizabeth (Day 1)

Sami's performance in this first session has been a real boost. The first change bowler giving runs from the other end really doesn't allow danish to create the pressure. These two have done a marvelous job. I hope and pray the new Sami is permanent and the old one a thing of the past. Ameen!

If we don't bury S.Africa now and allow Boucher, Kallis, Polock and co to resurrect SAfrica then we don't deserve to win..

Excellent start by pakistan to take 5 wickets in 1st session
on a wicket not offering much assistance. Inzi should get Akthar or asif
on straight after lunch with kaneria at other end and we need to bowl S.A
for 120-30 max here. hopefully we can then bat well and strengthen our
postion further. So far so good.

Whats up with their speed gun? Seems like it conveniently went awol when Akthar and especially Sami were bowling.

My only worry is once we have the opposition by the throat we don't tend to snap it. We've seen many a time Inzi let the opposition from a bad position build a good total. I just hope we clean them up.

dont forget Younis was leading the side in the ODI in Champion Trophy when the same thing happened

I hope we dont let the likes of Boucher play a heroic knock. Asif needs to come to the party if are to damage them.

time to shut SA for the rest of the match by bowling them out before 100!

Fantastic start by Pakistan this morning. Even though I didnt get to see any of the action (damn you Fox Sports), its evident that our bowlers are really firing on all cylinders!

Yes, I am really afrid that we may throw it away after this brilliance!

Fantastic performance from all the boys. We need to wrap up South Africa for under 140 and we'll be well and truly in control of this match.

All the bowlers bowled awesomely well.

Lets hope the excitement is for our side. and Panic for South Africa..

25.6 Shoaib Akhtar to Kallis, no run, slighter shorter but immaculate line once again. Kallis goes onto the back foot to defend. Shoaib clocked at 148.2kmph that time, which is about 92mph. Brisk

Shoaib bowling full and fast, this is great to watch.

29.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Kallis, OUT, GODDIM! That was brilliant bowling! Wide of the crease, angled in, straightened off the pitch from a full length, and Kallis's defensive prod ends up in the gloves of Kamran Akmal, low to his right. That is a massive breakthrough for Pakistan, and South Africa are in deep, deep trouble

Shoaib, brilliant bowling! 83/6

And for all those buffoons saying where is Inzi, they should really get a life.

shoaib has lost lot of weight in the past few weeks. his bowling like the old shoaib akhtar

Oh yeah shoaib baybehh firedd up by picking up kallis's wicket

If this is a half-fit Shoaib, I would take him any day over the likes of Nazir and Rana. Any f'ing day.

WOW, 150.2 KPH. Awesome fiery bowling here!

And then the next ball, beats the outside edge.

Just Boucher now and they won't cross 150. Of course Ntni, Nel, and Harris might be waiting to do a Rana, Nazir, and Kaneria!

Come on Get Pollock quickly.. we don't want a partnership here.. FInish it.. NOW>>

who you calling a buffoon ,you know that is racist .Have you forget Mr Gibbs.

29.6 Shoaib Akhtar to Pollock, no run, quick again, but further outside off. Still Pollock nibbles involuntarily, as well you might with a fraction of a millisecond to react
29.5 Shoaib Akhtar to Pollock, no run, oooh, nearly another one! No footwork from the new batsman, who fences at another excellent delivery and just avoids getting the edge
