Another thrashing for Bangladesh or will they come back harder at Afghanistan??
 
Don't think anyone is showing this in UK but there was an official youtube live stream last time, perhaps they are showing again.
 
Bangladesh win the toss again, but this time they choose to bat first.
 
All the unmpires are Afghanis. Shouldn't there be neutral umpires for international matches?
 
Rashid is exceptionally good - it's unfortunate that I had to watch him today via CricInfo. In a T20, he is probably the best all-rounder if AFGs put him in higher order. Those 4 overs will win game almost every such wickets.
 
Good crowds even today, Afghanistan is lucky to play in such lively crowds instead of drab and empty UAE stadiums. So much support for them too which won't exist in Dubai etc.
 
Afghans gonna lose at this rate hopefully we get to see cobra dance and series decider wud be interesting.
 
Rashid Khan what a player. I don't know how will our players play against him in the test match.
 
Afgans umpire have decided that they won't give any LBW decision.Worst biased umpiring.
 
How many times Rubel does the 2nd last over and gives plenty of runs and makes Bangladesh loose.

Bangladesh is a rubbish team.

I have seen Rugbel bowling quite a few times and every time he is getting thrashed :)))

It will be tough no doubt.India will think twice before making a spinning track.I think making a pacer friendly wicket should be the choice.Whatever, India should win easily due to fragile Afgan batting.

Seriously this is massive thrashing from Afghans. BD looks scared and playing like minnows.
 
India will find it difficult with the spin trio of Nabi, Rashid and Mujeeb. Probably the best spinners in the world as a group.

Bangladesh were the finalists in Nidahas Trophy and almost beat us to take the trophy. Afgans really seem to be this good, and Rashid Khan is one man who has made all the difference.

BD are minnows. At least T20 minnows

Poor decision by the BCB to decide on making this a T20 series when we don't have enough ODIs until the world cup.
 
Congrats to AFGs, deserving winners. They are actually are a much better T20 side, and on such wickets those 12 overs are as good as any attack in world. Rashid, what a player, worthy of his IPL wage. I'll be waiting to see him in Test.

Cricket spirit tells batsman is given out on the appeal, judged by umpires within the rules - close calls will always go to batsman - this game gives BoD to batsmen. This is 2nd time Rubel has messed up his length when it mattered, which suggests it's not only mental, but capability as well - he is good with his length when batsmen are trying to nudge around. It wasn't Shakib's fault - next time, we'll have to plan something else.

What's the point of playing ODI against AFGs, rather giving them an opportunity to close gap? Do you think, playing 3 spinners on such wickets should help us preparing for a WC in UK?

I'll take T20s against AFGs always, as they are better suited for the shortest format.
 
Well done Afghanistan. What a wonderful series win. Same BD team was one mishit away from a win in Nidhas trophy vs us. Beating them is very credible.

Wish this also had a ODI series though, BD are a better zide but Afghanistan would have got plenty of 'home support'. Would have run BD close.

This Afg side needs a couple of very good young batsmen. That can make them a very còmpetitive side across formats on Asian pitches.

Great to see Rashid and Mujeeb continuingto do well. Two of the brightest young stars in int'l cricket. They deserve to play more top flight cricket regularly.

I wouldn’t be very confident in ODIs against Afghanistan if I were a Bangladeshi fan.

Try to understand what's written. Who is saying I don't want us to play AFGs for losing ranking point? Rather I am saying between ODI & T20, we should play T20 with AFGs because they are better T20 side.

Buddy, I see you are talking smart these days because your country has won 2 T20s on a tailor made wicket, which is good for your esteem. Reality is, your country made the WC because of ZIM was ripped off a win by rain, other wise you would have an ODI status team because ICC had given you a default Test status. Reality is, you should have missed the first cut of qualifier after losing to Hong Kong. These are off season dry wickets, so your spinners are running riot, on a true wicket, go and check what Scottish batsmen did to your spinners.

Next time, when you tag me, be very specific that you understand what's written, or don't bother; you can enjoy your fun. Looser mentality is what you are doing - hiding behind till the game ends and coming back to talk smart.

It wasn't a 'tailor-made wicket'. I'm sure you see T20 wickets like these all the time in the IPL, and both sets of teams do well on them.

In fact, AFG would have definitely scored more than 135 if they had batted first.

They are a better T20 side, and they did score 135+ batting first in first game. Wickets are dry in off season, which suits their attack and IPL is played on such wickets, hence Mujeeb & Rashid are among highest paid players.

LOL. I am acting smart? When? where? Afghanistan have not beaten India, Pakistan or Australia. It's Bangladesh and in a T20 match. Hardly something to act smart over or brag.

As for how Afghanistan did in Zimbabwe. I never claimed Afghanistan is a good cricket team. In fact they lack in most departments. They need many many years before they can compete and win against big teams in all 3 formats. It's a looong process. Many years of hard work.

So take it easy. Afghan fans are not like BD fans who think they are world beaters after a couple of wins.

I don't see Rubel trying yorkers at the death. Anything else will go to downtown in such a dry weather.
 
I am waiting for a day when Afghanistani players will stare Indian players and will call India their arch rivals. I mean this is how it goes in cricket. Bangladesh vs India, Bangladesh vs Pakistan, Afghanistan vs Pakistan...
