Who stopped him today to take on the bowling? He loves to throw his wicket away after these 25-30 runs. Haven't you watched him bat enough in LOI's? He was dropped for the very same reason from LOI's and was replaced by a make shift wicketkeeper like KL Rahul. :inti

it matters. India lose 30 - 40 runs before new ball because of slow batting. it is not strength. It is slowly getting exposed now.

No it's not . Clearly , our bowlers will be the matcheinners for dismissing Australia our for 195 when they batted first. Doesnt often happen at the 'G'. Rahane is playing a very normal innings and only now that the pitch has lost a bit of pace and their bowlers are into their 4th/5th spells.
 
There are many ways to skin a cat.

It's ridiculous to think only one way is the best way.

A team needs a combo.

Lol at cameo. This is not a T20 match. His test average is going down by each passing inning. His hundreds in Australia/England won't save him anymore if he keeps throwing his wicket away like this. And Saha was preferred for his keeping not batting. :inti
 
Hazelwood is a good economical bowler but will struggle if asked to lead an attack. He is not a genuine wicket-taker but rather feed on other things going his way.
 
These Indians are pathetic, such a poor team, they have a flat track, and we have dropped a ton of catches, what a disgrace this Indian team is.

I do not see Australia winning after conceding a 100 runs lead , Aussies batting is itself very shallow , Unless Smith plays a big big knock.
 
Jadeja has improved his batting leaps and bounds over past couple years. An immensely valuable, hardworking, all format-all weather player.

Yeah but as keeper, he has to bat a bit as well. Can't expect to average not even 20 in SENA. If Pant plays at home, that average will rise and his SENA average will always be 30+ because he is very talented with bat and not a walking wicket with big gap between bat and pad like some specialist batsman who can't field and hold on to his catches :yk

I said yesterday India will win this , 192 was never going to be enough , the pitch was not that bad , also India will not fold to below 100 everyday.

Disagree, it is actually Rahane who is changing the match movement there by staying there and creating partnerships. Once again this is not a LOI match. I am sure if it was upto Pant fans they would give Pant MOTM for that inning but won't appreciate the inning Rahane is playing. :inti
 
India looking solid here. Lead over 100 would be a big challenge for Australia. India should look to develop 150+ lead to level the series by innings defeat.
 
Jadeja is a very good player to have in your test team for all conditions. Bowls tight lines, and takes wickets, is a good fielder and a solid batsman who can hit the ball out of the park too when batting with the tail. Averages close to what Asad Shafiq has mustered in his miserable 10 years as a full-time batsman only with nothing else to offer.

Shaw is a 21 year old baby in international cricket just like 23 year old Pant. He will make a comeback. Deserved at least 10 matches before getting dropped for 1 year. :inti
 
Rahane has been brilliant. Good to see him back in form. Has captained better than kohli so far too

No Pant did too.

In his own way.

His quick contribution helped us get some quick runs with the old ball.

We won a test series last time and Pant played quite a big role in that.

Sometimes, stats don't reveal the full picture.
 
Excellent knock by Rahane. Good support by Jadeja (who is a proper batsman now) and Pant.

We have rolled out the flat track in Australia to make these Indians fell at home, we have dropped so many catches and yet these Indians cant win a game.
 
The value Jaddu brings to the team is INSANE man.

In fact, this probably made Ash into a better bowler cos he must have realized there's no way he can compete with this Jaddu for the overseas spot.

He adds so much value to this Indian side. Much better than some 'best since Kapil Dev' type players who can't even keep themselves fit and available for two tours/series in a row. :inti
