When Isak was available 2 years ago, his Spanish club wanted 70M but his goal scoring record at this was mediocre and not worth gamble. But he's proved himself at Newcastle so either him or Toney would be a good signing.Arsenal need a centre-forward and I would love to see them sign Isak.
He should be Arsenal's number 1 priority in the summer transfer window. I would much rather sign him than buy Osimhen or Toney.
Newcastle signed him for £63m. He's worth £100m-£120m.
Problem for Arsenal with these profit and sustainability rules in place, it means Arsenal can't afford to waste money on transfers like they have on donkeys like havertz and an unnecessary signing in Raya.
At start of season Arsenal needed
Another CB to help saliba / Gabriel
A midfielder to replace xhaka
A striker
A right winger (competition for saka)
Timber and rice were good signings, havertz and Raya were not needed.
Now come the summer the following holes are going to have to be filled
Another CB to help saliba / Gabriel
A striker
A right winger (competition for saka), unless jesus starts being used out wide
a whole midfield rebuild - partey (can't stay fit), jorghino and elneny are likely to be gone.
So even with CL money the club isn't going to fill all those holes, the club is so poor at selling players as well.
So the so called bridging the gap to win title will always remain "we have holes in squad" we need another 2 or 3 players" because Arteta and edu have continually made a dogs dinner of address squad depth in priority areas.
Also giving big contracts to trash like nketitah, Nelson, havertz means teams wanting to buy will not pay the asking fee plus the inflated wages such players are on.
The so called Arsenal got rid of dead wood, having to cancel contracts etc. Will rear its ugly head again.
To many trust the process cheerleaders have their heads buried in the sand (not you by the way)
