Arsenal FC | 2023/24 Season

Havertz having a shocker all ready, why was he signed? 🤦‍♂️

Front 3 looking fluid with Trossard back to his best.

Should be an easy win tonight.

Im switching over to Bayern v Utd, a lot more fun as BM as 1 zip already. :ROFLMAO:

🤣🤦‍♂️ guys be awful! We are playing with 10 men. You could get someone out of the crowd and they would do a better job

I don't understand how someone can be so disparaging of someone who is playing in a team you support, so early in his career... and before the game has even started.

wanting people to fail is not a good trait

He's a proven Chelsea rejects, who no apart from Arteta wanted at the club.

Why am I going to back a mediocre proven failure that does nothing to improve the team. There are more deserving better players on the bench

I didn't want David Luiz, cech, willian at club either.

But with you if the club signed Harry maguire you would have your Arsensl shirt on with maguire on the back twirking.

Finally so early in his career? The guys in his 4th full season in PL. Oh and don't give me the Chelsea were struggling bull crap.

James maddison played In a struggling Leicester city team and performed and now is hit ground running at new club. Good players perform and fit in seeminglessly.

Havertz Is one of worst players I've seen in an Arsenal shirt and one of worst I've seen in PL history

Then again you and mamoon are Kings of twerking for mediocrity.

Players like ESR are having their careers ruined right now due to this donkey being played ahead of him all time.

65M on a player who doesn't even look good enough to play on Hackney marshes.

🤦‍♂️

We know Mamoons already flip flopped the excuse from Arteta will turn havertz into prime Gerd muller to oh if he fails it don't matter, other players have.

I'm sure the other clueless twerkers backing this fraud will see sense pretty quickly as well.

1st half performance was as good as some of the ones we saw early last season. Not bad to say we are playing with 10 men.

Same fluid front 3 needed on Sunday. Saka should be taken off early and rested for once and maybe even trossard.

Game is done. You see Pep keeping players like haaland fresh, Arsenal need to do the same.

Zinchenko off tomi on
Trossard off Nelson on

God knows why donkey havertz is on still

ESR and Vieira on for saka and Jesus.

Good subs, resting key players for sunday.

Oddegard makes it 4-0

Good 4-0 win for ten man Arsenal, key players rested in 2nd half.

Also other group game finished 1-1.

Arsenal need to get as many points as quickly as possible in this group.

Arsenal returned to the Champions League in style as they started their first campaign in six years with an impressive win over PSV Eindhoven at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners wrapped up victory in their opening Group B game with a scintillating first half display that saw them race into a 3-0 lead on a rain-soaked night in north London.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring after eight minutes, pouncing on a rebound when PSV keeper Walter Benitez could only push Martin Odegaard's into the England winger's path.

Saka was involved again when Arsenal doubled their advantage 12 minutes later, laying the ball perfectly into Leandro Trossard's pass for a smooth low finish after Gabriel Jesus had broken clear.

Jesus was outstanding and thoroughly deserved to add Arsenal's third seven minutes before half-time with a rising drive that gave Benitez no chance.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made a host of second-half changes with Sunday's derby at home to in-form Tottenham in mind, but his side still retained complete control, and Odegaard made it 4-0 with a powerful 20-yard strike with 20 minutes left.

Great performance.

My only complaint has to be Arteta’s selection of Havertz. I would’ve liked to have seen ESR given a go instead.

Yeah I think if we can win the next 3 games, that should be enough for 1st place given calibre of the other sides in the group.

We can then play a weaker team for the last 2 games of the group stage.

Fantastic return to the big stage with that performance. Odegaard is arguably the best finisher at the club right now, until Toney arrives :afridi

First time this season our attack has properly clicked, which is great news ahead of the derby too

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta: "It was a beautiful night. After such a long time we needed to produce the right performance to try to win the game.

"It was great to see the atmosphere, the Champions League music. It was getting a bit emotional before. We showed in both boxes we were exceptional and that was the difference.

"I was really excited about [the game]. I don't show that too much. It's part of the journey, it started last year. We earned the right to be in this competition which is where we have to be as a club and now we have a responsibility to produce to stay at this level.

"From box to box, there were things we should have done much better. But at the same time to play the way they play in certain moments and to score four goals in the Champions League against a team that hasn't lost a game, credit to them."

Arsenal are looking dangerous this season as if they mean business. Easy win in the UCL yesterday taking care of PSV suggests they should qualify for the latter stages of the competition. The acid test will be when they face Man City and Liverpool in the EPL.

Yeah 100% win group early as possible. No need to over exert in group stages.

We go into Spurs game with good form, just need to make sure we ain't playing with 10 men on sunday

David Raya insists he always backed himself to become Arsenal No 1, but says he and Aaron Ramsdale are in the dark over who will start the north London derby. (Evening Standard)

BREAKING NEWS:
Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2028.

Raya has to start, ramsdale is to hot and cold with his performances. Plus we tend to concede to many cheap goals at home

Arteta on Ramsdale benched: “Difficult with every player but he has been very supportive and really, really good around the place”.

“That is what I expect from every single player as when you are on the field, there is someone else who is not”.

My main concern with Raya is his height. He's short for a goalkeeper.

His short and long range passing is significantly better but we haven't seen him tested yet. Everton and PSV did bugger all in front of goal.,

He's not the tallest but he is good on crosses. He's got a good solid all round game as a keeper. Ramsdales positional sense lets him down to much for me, good keeper but needs to improve still

I think Arsenal can play a lot better than what they have shown so far in the PL.

However Spurs at home will be too emotional for them to play to such a level. This match can go either way but if Arsenal can get the ball out wide, a win is very much on the cards.

Spurs have won twice away to Arsenal since PL began, one of those we played our reserves as we had an FA Cup final to play close to that game.

Spurs are getting hammered on Sunday like they always do at Emirates.

Normally I'd agree with you and it might happen but Spurs so far scored 13 goals in 5 matches, this is very unspurs like. Maybe Kane moving on and this new manager is giving them more attacking options. If Fulham scored 2 at the Emirates, Spurs should defo score 1 at minium but could get a couple, meaning Arsenal will need to score 2-3 goals to win this.

My prediction 2-2.

Spurs always look like they are decent form when they come to Emirates and then get taken apart. Spurs haven't played anyone half decent yet. Yes Arsenal conceded at home, but Spurs will play an open game and will get punished.

Arsenal will win 4-2 or 3-1 on Sunday.

Finishing 2nd, at home, confidence after CL, yes Arsenal should win. Anything less will be poor. Im just going with a hunch.

This guy hasn't gotten the memo :ROFLMAO:

Seems to be a likeable manager but that reality shock on Sunday is going to hit them hard.

Rodri straight red for violent conduct against Forest… which would rule him out of the game at the Emirates…

We need to need our next two games, before worrying about man city.

I said at start of season City would win their 1st 7 games before they get to Emirates, they have won 6 so far.

No rodri for City would be a boost for us.

England forward Ivan Toney is ready to leave Brentford in January. The club are willing to let the 27-year-old, who is serving an eight-month ban for breaching Football Association betting rules, leave if their £60m valuation is met. (Sunday Mirror)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Arsenal have to pounce, absolute no brainer IMO and cheaper than Havertz :ROFLMAO:

Ready for the North London Derby!!?

F6yfpuVWQAAA3Zi

Huge blow that trossard is now injured. Attacking options from bench now don't look great. Starting 11 needs to do damage today
Saka will have to play 90 mins (as usual).

Nelson can play on the left. The only player on the bench who has experience in the no. 9 role is Havertz but he's a liability.

I imagine Nketiah will be the first one to be subbed off for Nelson. This will allow Jesus to take up the CF role.

Nelson or ESR should have started on left. Nketiah shouldn't have started here

1-0 deserved lead, we have been better side. Need to go for kill now.

Top save by Raya, that's a warning! Can't give spurs chances like that

That was on the cards for a long time

Arsenal haven’t been convincing defensively

1-1 got sloppy and got punished 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. All those wasted chances at 1-0

Went 1 0 up and took the foot off the pedal.

How did Jesus miss that chance.

Really poor end to 1st half, massive improvement needed in 2nd half to win this game now 😡

Jesus finishing is average at best, he was missing chances like this midweek as well

Arsenal's usually Achillies heal poor defending at home and strikers who are not clinical enough. Dominated a game for 40 mins and go in level

Arsenal makes a couple of changes for the second half...

Jorginho and Kai Havertz are on Fabio Vieira and Declan Rice.

what a awful midfield we have now for 2nd half 🤦‍♂️

2-2 really poor stuff from Arsenal here.

With midfield we have on now, won't be shocked if we lose it

Jorginho is useless, why bring him on? We lose this its on Arteta. Useless midfield we have no and no control

Maddision running the game now, Arsenal midfield non-existent

Subs that have weakened Arsenal so far.

Spurs looking the better side at the moment.

Son almost makes it 3-2

Non league standard midfield for Arsenal now

Odegaard has been poor this match.

Still time for him to perform some magic though.

Jesus off 🤦‍♂️ why is Eddie still on pitch and is on a yellow card as well

Seems Arteta clueless Management has started early this season

When Plan A don't work, there in no Plan B

Incompetent management at its finest from Arteta today

Spurs almost win it with richarlison.

Arsenal have been a shambles 2nd half.

Yet another poor home performance

Fair result that.

Spurs were good especially in midfield where they got the better of Arsenal.

Arsenal not at their best - Odegaard and Nketiah were poor, Jesus not involved enough either.
