This is only the first match of 5 odi series and we already lost 2 players in the lead up to this odi and we are certain to lose the 3rd one that too a captain. It would hv been wise of him to not come out to bat and give his hamstring some rest considering when your vice captain isn't there either.

I think we hv wasted him like so many other promising Young cricketers which came before him like Yasir Hameed, imran nazir,Asim kamal just to name few. I also think you should stop blaming the system and start blaming Umar Akmal. He's been in the team for 8 years, has been given ample opportunities at every position, and he's done nothing. Ditto for guys like Nazir and Hameed who turned into mediocre batsmen after getting off to great starts in their international careers, the good thing in their case was the selectors didn't persist with their failures like junior over here. Asim Kamal, is the only one I feel was treated unfairly.
