Australia vs Pakistan | 2nd Test | Adelaide | Nov 29 - Dec 3, 2019 | Day 1 | Match Thread

Another double-hundred coming up for Yasir. He scored two in England and two in Australia I believe. At this rate could break Bradman’s record one day.

It is so awkward when they starting walking during the interview.

Don't think so. Australia will bat until 1st or 2nd session till 3rd day at 650/4 and finish the match by 2nd session on 4th day.

I am using Junaids logic. He will still propagate the myth that D/N Tests are like 60 over ODIs.

Yasir bowling to flat, to short and to leg side!

OK - please tell me if the break is for 20 or 40 minutes. Made some arrangements to watch Test cricket tonight ..... Aussies didn’t disappoint me:(

I think Australia are capable to take 20 wickets in 3 session. They are just too good. At the moment both Warner and Marnus are playing for their personal milestone. Warner will eye for 300. Apart from Babar and some thing from Rizwan our batting has nothing to offer.

I feel sorry for Smith. He has missed out on about 400 runs in these two Tests because of batting at 4.

60 over session work with the weak team only, not team like Australia or India. They can even play 250 overs and bowl opposition twice in 60 overs.

Jason Gillespie on ABC Radio is being absolutely dismissive of Musa.

“Repeatable action but very short, and he bowls with a bent knee and is bowling far too short for the conditions. I don’t see what makes anyone think he is ready for Test cricket”:

We all could see Musa's limitations but the buffoons in management, despite years of international cricket, fast-tracked him anyway.

It's nonsense to say they had no alternative too. Sameen Gul has a vastly superior record in the current QEA season.

I guess they had to play Musa because Naseem is injured and Imran Khan, well he's possibly the worst Pakistani bowler ever to have bowled in tests played in Australia.

Sameen Gul and Ehsan Adil should have been picked over Musa and IK. Misbah and Waqar need to be accountable for this.

Call it what you want.

But I believe this pitch will become a minefield when Australia bowl and will support swing, seam and spin and part time bowlers as well.
Our batsmen don't need a minefield to get bowled out for sub-par scores.

Misbah has no one to answer. Wasim khan did him that big favor. Next series he will use this excuse choose all oldies who will not even have match fitness.

Indeed, like Mamoon said, Misbah's appointment reeks of corruption. This exposes the Misbah fanatics because it sums their mentality, which can be described as "Misbah over everything".

Bowling attack is just too inexperienced - What Musa doing in a test match?

Nxt time when a legend like waqar says a certain bowler is not playing because he is not in full rhythm (Abbas) please take his word for it.

Abbas has been all over the shop!!

He is still better than Imran khan

I think the easiest cop out in the world is to blame Misbah and believe that there are youngsters out there who would have won you in Australia.

Then, he must have kept denying it for best part of 20 years & counting.

Wasim khan should immediately fire Misbah and Waqar. The longer these paindu remain at the healm, the worse for Pakistan cricket.

Its not about the victory, its the manner in which we are playing.

Its like getting a poor surgeon and his assistant to cure cancer.

The surgeon is likely to miss residual disease and might not perform the best surgery, but the cancer is going to eventually come back anyway, because surgery does not cure cancer.

Its not about the victory, its the manner in which we are playing.

We have played in this manner since 1995.

Why would you think we had a chance otherwise?

Have you forgotten how many tests we have lost since that time?

Let me remind you.

ALL OF THEM.

With the same lackluster and lackadaisical performances.

Yeah but I can still question why the surgeon amputated my foot even though there was no connection to the cancer.

I would say most of us know the results wouldn't change but hair brained decisions and selections really ought to be questioned.

The unspoken and uncomfortable truth is that Pakistan's bowling is living off past glories, especially our fast bowling.

Our new ball bowling is atrocious with teams constantly getting off to a flyer against us, and we can't control the rate when the ball doesn't swing.

I only watched last two tours and we came close to winning atleast a test per tour in both of them. This time, we are doing worse than a club team.

Man Pakistani bowling attack is utter tripe, what a complete waste of the pink ball.

True. We have been producing mediocre bowlers for a while now. From time to time we have had bowlers with good potential but they have faded away. At the moment we have Shaheen and Naseem who both have tremendous potential but going by the trend they'll be out of the team and lost to the system. Shaheen seems to be defying that trend so far but let's see.

So they refused to pick a second spinner but are willing to bowl Ahmed. Genius!

Along with the 2004 tour, this has been our most shameful performance in Australia in the last three decades.

The following individuals need to be purged from Pakistan cricket immediately:

Wasim Khan
Misbah
Waqar
Azhar

Pak is determined to establish Warner as an undisputed ATG in this series.

He is an ATG opener in Australia anyway. Crazy numbers.

They a just join d the set up. There ia no chance of them going anywhere for a long time.

Certainly the worst performance I have ever seen in Australia. The others weren't much better but this has been truly abysmal

People can keep blaming Misbah and everyone else but the talent is simply not there. At the end of the day, the playing 11 are in the field, they know the conditions better than anyone else, they understand the opposition so they should be able to formulate a plan and adapt to the conditions.

Pakistani cricket team is no match for the Australians, Indians and Saffers. We are stuck in 1992 when the rest of the world has moved on. Raw talent is simply not enough. Cricket is a strategic game on top of that physical fitness has added another dimension to it which our players lack.

92s team will crush us as well. Do you think apart from Babar, Rizwan and Afrid anyone match Imran Khan's team

Shaheen's bowled nearly 1/3 of the overs here. Really needs a rest. If only Musa could actually bowl without giving 2 freebies an over

We are going to play Tests in England and New Zealand after the Sri Lankan series. The humiliation is not ending any time soon.

I thought there was a series with Bangladesh after the Sri Lanka series.

And suddenly everyone will be sacked and "talented" individuals will start sprouting again in domestics.

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

Aussies are targeting the lethargic fielders, Warner especially.

The boys are slow, most of them cannot really bend, pick-up and throw....they rely on slopping/falling on the grass to stop the ball, then stand up by getting on their knees, then throw with little aim. Warner has already completed 2 easy runs by then. Do that twice every few balls, its as good as a boundary!

The fielding is poor, perhaps every other test team is way better.

Tbh you guys have a better record in England from all other Asian teams ... a better show is expected

But But Mission Accomplished,Mission was to make Smith unsettle.
Well done Boiz:salute

Aussies should thank Jofra for giving them Labuschagne...otherwise they would have persisted with hacks like khawaja

Man they are going out to eat curries and Biriyani.. you can do that after the tour finishes.. fitness has become a new dimension in cricket

Actually Khawaja is good in home tracks,he has a good record against Pakistan.
But you are right.
