Bangladesh are definitely on the rise in the test cricket.

They beat NewZealand in away test and whitewashed Pakistan in their home.

Now giving tough time to India as well.

Their improved performances has inspired me to create this thread.

This looks a strong XI.

Players like Tamim, Shakib, Rahim, Miraz and Litton select themselves.

Litton's position as opener can be debated.

Bashar was Bangladesh's 1st good test batsman and the captain when i started watching cricket.

Most difficult part was to select pacers as most of their pacers averaged more than 50s.

I select Hasan Mahmud based on his recent series winning performance in Pakistan and imprssive fifer in India.

Shoriful has better record than most of their pacers as he averaged in early 30s.

Rafique was a very good bowler who was unfortunately playing for a minnow side. His numbers don't accurately reflect how good he was, the way that certain of his performances against Pakistan, Australia do. For sure, a Bangladesh legend who should be in the first eleven.

I more or less agree with most of the names here but IMO Abdur Razzak is missing. He is one of their prolific spinners. He should be there

Abdul Razzak was a LOI specialist. He barely played Test (only has 28 Test wickets).

Rafique and Mehidy should be in the XI since they both did well in Test. Rafique has 100 Test wickets while Mehidy has 183 wickets.
