Watson is an amazing 5th bowler who could keep it tight and pick the odd wickets. His utility goes far beyond his stats.

Kallis is a dream come true. Wasn't talking about him.

I don't think it will happen.

This is a 500 pitch and the second new ball will convert 265-4 into 320 all out.

Having said that, Misbah and Shafiq are doing well against an under-strength attack with the old ball on a flat, grassless track.

I suspect they have speeded up the returns of Anderson, Wood and Stokes.

you are right it was Willis- for some reason I thought it was Shaz- was in the post match wrap up.

But suppose they had Anderson today instead of Finn? I think he's been the really poor bowler today, more so than Moeen.
 
Misbah deserved that 100 @ Lords.

Not just for today, but for all he's done for Pakistan team since that 2010 debacle.
 
Absolutely amazing knock from Misbah. Have no words to describe this. Played aggressively and got us out of a very tough situation. Doing what he does best. Leading from the front.

But, in this thread I got scores from you 560 (320, still 240 short), then 360 (match winning, provided PAK don't blow 2nd innings).

I stand at middle point - as often, if PAK can reach 450, unless it rains; ENG 'll need lots of support from PAK Slip cordon to save this match.

It's befitting that one of the most honourable man in PAK cricket should be in Lord's honour board.

& it's ironic that the man who was trusted to assemble the scraps after AUG 2010, is the same man standing today.

Then Anderson would hide the deficiency for a bit.

On pitches like these, 5 bowlers help the main ones remain fresh.

Sometimes you can manage without the 5 but its better to have them.

Yeah, Ideally we would like somebody like Hafeez(Nawaz) or Azhar to step up...We don't have allrounder....

Our bowling is good, but stamina will be tested in this match... Our bowling has done good whenever we have bowled well with old ball, which is key in 90s and is today as well!!!
 
So happy for Misbah! Legendary; LORD'S HONOR BOARD! Totally deserves to be on it.
