Only 21 runs given away and almost one hour into the post-lunch session. More importantly 2 wickets taken by Pakistan. Good going!

Not that I'm a great fan of Akmal, but even he cant be stupid enough to cheat like this when he as well as every other cricketer knows the number of cameras and technology cricket has nowadays. I'm sure every cricketer, including Kamran, has watched a cricket match on TV in recent times to know that much.

I really do think he was mistaken and really did feel that was out.

How could he claim that?????

that's pathetic

Why is it any worse than batsmen not walking when they know they have knicked it?

It was bad but hardly the crime of the century and it's nothing new, many keepers have done exactly the same thing in the past.

The way Kamran is keeping he probably thought he took it cleanly. :)))

You guys are a joke! proper back garden cricketers! why did hussey appeal in the last test when they thought they had kamran akmal?Quick to jump on there backs and give the non pakistani supporters are stepping stone to have a pop at our own! Typical buds

Ajmal against Morgan would have been a good battle

Credit goes to Pakistani bowlers for doing so well on a pitch which is more suitable for the batting side.

I think the big difference between this bowling attack and the ones before it is patience. The bowlers hold back, stick to a plan and can wait for the wickets. If only the batsmen did the same.

Chasing a total is gonna be tough on Day 4/5,this pitch will prove to be conducive for bowlers, especially the spinners.

Good over from Gul so far - 2 balls left, c'mon get the ball to inswing into the stumps¬

Good stuff MJ...You are spot on.Every player knows that you cant get away with these sort of things now-a-days due to Technology...So,Kamran was taking a chance...May be he didnt know whether he caught it or not..!!

+1

and this displays the STRUCKING PATH.... *TOP OF THE STUMPS*

in tennis from naked eye if you see ball landing out of line its out

in cricket if you see ball hitting stumps or bail.. stumps slightly shattered u r out

MY QUESTION is why cant they make it simple

just see its hit in line...hitting stumps.. SIR YOU ARE OUT

SIMPLE AS THAT?.. WHATS ROCKET SCIENCE YOU NEED

I'll try again.

The ball strikes the pad. This is definite. The path afterwards showing where it would go on to hit is almost guesswork. Thus, it's incorrect to give the ones clipping the stumps, out.

In tennis, the landed path is taken into account. Nothing is predicted.

Holding comparing the bounce at Headingley to the fairly low bounce at Trent Bridge.

Holding - 3rd umpire, talking about the pitch - he says it's a unpredictable one!

dont think its a batting pitch its slow with variable bounce can already see the cracks will not be a big scoring game

Edged again but no carry !

If this was Headingley,it would have carried. The bounce would have really made a difference.

It did look like a batting pitch this morning considering how dry it was - but now the pitch seems to changing just like 3rd umpire holding said, this is a unpredictable pitch with low/high bounce.

Drinks.

2 excellent overs from Gul and Asif...just be patient now!

Stupid Akmal, move forward. You dictate where the slip fielders stands, you clown!

why its incorrect if its clipping the stumps.. . thats my question :)

when the referral is made.. you are clearly showing its hitting top of the stumps.... so isnt the GUESSING GAME IS OVER .. by using so called HAWKEYE TECHNOLOGY

short and wide - well timed but straight at Malik!!

Why is Gul bowling so short and wide???? Why doesn't the message reach his head???

Its important Gul doesnt leak runs, if he is unable pick up a wicket...!!Just dont give them easy runs....

short and wide, again - well hit but straight at the fielder!!

Gull got lucky 2nd time there, needs to pitch it up more.

swing for gul in the last delivery - promising signs!!

The last delivery was good though it was a bit wide, but the idea was right

It is incorrect because Hawkeye is not exact. There is a margin of error, and that needs to be taken into consideration. Hawkeye uses the trajectory of the ball to estimate if it was hitting the stumps. While good, it is not exact, and that uncertainty needs to be taken into consideration.

Malik on to bowl...has Butt lost faith in Kaneria I wonder.

Why doesn't Kamran stand a little forward after that one fell short. Use some common sense you clown.

That will enable him and Pakistan to take wickets, and be on top of the game. That will not go down well with the betting agents :akmal

If he doesn't understand by now then he never will. He's either stupid or deliberately trolling, either way you're wasting your time and energy trying to explain things to him.
