^ agree, no point India trying to hang in there, they should be positive...and edge through to slips. Seriously they should try to get the runs on the board which will put the pressure on England bowlers.

That's not how stuff works in test cricket, once the two veterans consolidate our position runs will flow without problems. India had nothing to win last one hour of play, keeping wickets intact was he main goal

Definitely, we need to bat as long as possible and make sure we have to bat little in 4th inning

Epic Fail by England.

Expect a Triple Century from each of Laxman, Dravid and Tendulkar. Dhoni to fail obviously.

1-750 pasting for James Anderson to come.

Oh, and the only wickets taken now on will be retired out, when Dravid and Laxman get bored of smashing these country trundlers around the park.

Morning session will be pivotal. England could be all over them or India will have made a solid foundation for a lethal assault.

Serious post? :adnan

I believe pessimism is the best response to anything.

If I tell myself that I expect no more from England, I can atleast be satisfied that I have not expected better when they fail.

I just hope this doesn't turn out to be like the Karachi test :(

We need to make the first inning count

Well Namak, this Indian batting line-up is a bit messed up actually. It's gonna be a big task for them to give us a significant advantage

For what it's worth, it's Jimmy's birthday tomorrow. I think for his last two birthdays he took 5-fers the day of, against Pakistan, and before that, Aussies at Birmingham. Can he make it a hattrick of birthday fives?

I would put a penny on it. :boycott

Warne lost a lot of weight, looking better now.

Hope it remains the same.because after u won the first test, all i saw was only optimism from the english fans and commentators on the board here with some super threads about india as well.

Intelligence failure that for BCCI :boom:

England bowled superbly I thought. The three seamers will all pitch the ball up and get conventional swing, and there is a chance for some reverse later on as well. As much as I like Tremlett, maybe he is at his best on bouncy Australian pitches and the odd bouncy English pitch. I didn't think he was any good at Lord's despite the wickets.

Given that we have seen at least two balls steeplejack on the first day of this test, I think Trem would have been a monster and would have put a couple of Indians in hospital.

I'm not sure that this deck is fit for test cricket.

I like these kind of pitches. Some of the other batting decks around the world, the bowlers might as well put on collars and leashes, bring the batsmen their slippers and newspaper, and wag their bottoms like good little doggies.

yea Warne has lost bit too much

Well, it is said that for each session of lovemaking, 200-250 calories are burnt. Now we all know about Warnie's love for women and flesh. Given that, no surprise that he'll be a skeleton in next few days:warne

@ Topic: Broad was wonderful yesterday. The Indian batsman have their task cut out. The track and the conditions at TB are such that the batsmen can never be at ease. Good to see the bowlers dominating a match.
