England conditions ruined Akmal's keeping and Dhoni is facing the same problems here with the moving ball. India better look for a new one!

Ishant bowling very well.

Sree getting some good swing as well.

England will have to work for their runs and but I hope they do well

even sreesanth is getting fat

india can never dominate with these obese bowlers

Skittles, give up, pendantry will not help conceal India's ice to water performance.

Enjoy the game!

:)

Classic NH tactics, resort to 'pedantry' and 'semantics' and other such rubbish when caught with pants down :)

I'm definitely enjoying the game, as are you :)

he rarely droped a catch is last few years , may be that is the reason .. hes been a little aloof lately

Meh, I'm just taking the opportunity to needle, because whle Dhoni is very good, he's overhyped beyond his cricketing skills. He's rarely dropped a regulation catch, but not snatched too many blinders too. He's scored some good innings in the past, with a few bad matches here and there, but not an all-conditions batman. All in all, well behind Prior currently as the complete keeper/batsman package in tests.

My favourite Trent Bridge memory was when I watched Pakistan beat SA in the T20 2009 Semi-Final - right up there screaming off the top tier.

This test match has the potential to be my second favourite memory, but watching via TV, for one reason only, India stand to lose their Rank #1 within the next 72 hours.

Nail biting stuff!

Can't understand a bowler who hardly touches 125 km/h can cause so much trouble for batsmen

Sarcasm, Satire, Semantics – all lost on Indian supporters.

Today has been special.

:)

Tendulkar, kumar kou galian dey raha hou ga, how can you make a champ run 50 metres after a ball

7.6
Kumar to Bell, 3 runs, 121.3 kph, another Laxman-like back-foot punch, the timing is what made it special. Tendulkar chases, rather gingerly, and just about cuts it off

Everything is beeing measured by indian style!

Speed is not the only thing...you need technique too :p

There is a difference between an 'early man' (your bowlers :)) ) fighting and a taekwondo expert (our bowlers :) )fighting....:D

You really wana go into a pakistan-indian bowlers discussion?

So that is the end...India (Rahul) played very well,so does England (Cutie pie Broad  )
:)

Good days cricket! India still ahead. Good bowling spell from Broad though I was sleeping then. Looking forward to tomorrow InshaAllah.

At the end of Day 2 the match is in perfect balance. England should bat well tomorrow in Sunny conditions.

Even Stevens considering India will be batting last in this game.

England 221 & 24/1
India 279/9 lost their way after that solid 5th-wicket stand (128) between Dravid and Yuvraj, 5 wickets going down for just 6 runs!

Dhoni's batting these days is not what it used to be. He played another careless shot today
Broad hattrick has brought England right back into this match. Game on..

Though at the risk of sounding a misogynist isn't Wise Girl an oxymoron? :p

Can you please speak understandable english:afridi

The important thing was to give the poster a compliment :)

Dravid averages 73.19 in 11 tests in England - Runs 1171, 100s 5

Tendulkar averages 56.83 in 15 tests in England - Runs 1364, 100s 4

Is Dravid better than Sachin in English conditions? Well that is the debate on Test Match Special, BBC this evening.

There have indeed been a few dubious LBW decisions (outs + notouts) in this game but I strongly feel that India have only themselves to blame for the bad calls. They were the ones who opposed the ball-tracking technology (Hawk Eye) for no good reason. As I keep saying here, technology is not foolproof (probably never will be) but it IS still more accurate (95-99% accurate) than the naked eye

That being said Asad Rauf has again had a very good game so far. Most of those bad calls have been made by the South African umpire Erasmus

They need to see out the morning. If they can, it'll be sunny and they can hit the old ball around the park. Thank god our batting is deep, we'd be effed otherwise. Well done by Broad today, hopefully come 4th innings he and Anderson can utilize the cloudy conditions on Monday to full advantage.

India started this morning at 24/1.

England start tomorrow morning at 24/1.

Coincidence?

No. Destiny.

The way I see this game progressing..

India must find a way to restrict England to around 300 in the second innings (or a lead of 250+/-)

300+ will be difficult to chase on this wicket. Sachin is short of runs at the moment. He will come good at some stage in the series but is not known to do well when the chips are down. Only two batsmen, Dravid and Laxman are in any sort of form. Yuvraj (made runs in the 1st innings here) and the rest are just too inconsistent to be relied upon

This game could well finish on the 4th day..

Yaar 250 to chase is too much....

I think 200 is a par score to chase

Are you sure those are the current odds NH?

Another good day of test match cricket with Dravid showing his class and a great fightback from Broad and England. Losing Cook wasn't a massive blow since he's been in poor form this series.

England need a lead of 250+ to become strong favourites to make it 2-0.
