lol, thanks was nearly on the blower to my bank manager to put the whole balance on an England win.

I hope not, I'm a huge England fan and I don't have that level of optimism. At this stage I'd say advantage India by a slight margin really.
I was at work on Friday so had no access to Betfair, but at 128/8, I do wonder what the odds for England to win were on the first day; I am guessing 40 to 1 or near abouts.
England are well in the driving seat for a win.

Are u from Eng.... cant be Pak / India as betting is illegal
Born and bred!
India wasted all the advantage it had after that superb effort from Rahul and Yuvraj. A definite advantage is on England's side, as they have won the psychological battle in the evening. Really bad display from the lower order batsmen after such a good platform.
First session tomorrow, most probably will decide the turn of events for the match.
The Sun will be out all day and England won't bat as bad as they did in the first innings. The sun has burnt the grass but there are patches will will grip now and again. I can't see England being bowled out for less than 300 so that would leave a tough task for India to chase it down. England in a better position imo.
great day of test cricket. Wonderful batting display from dravid , yuvraj and laxman and broad bowled wonderfully well. India has advantage 70 - 30 i say. India can get them out for 210- 220. India will hope for overcast and england will hope for a sunny day , a lot depends on weather.

Thanks! And you have lots of faith in this indian team than me.
Don't you think the momentum is with england now
England are effectively 2 down but that lower order is too good , surely 250 + on the cards.
I think with their amazing batting lineup they can chase up to 500 tbh. Not many other teams possess players as blessed and talented.
Cardinal rule #1 of following English cricket. Even if we have a stellar batting order, we will always have the propensity to collapse to average bowlers at any stage. The better we've gotten, the less often it happens, but it still does.
How else do you account for Mitchell "Piechucker" Johnson ripping us apart at Perth?
350 all out would be a big total for India to chase (290), but even that would be gettable. I think another 230 all out is more likely anyway, batting will be tough for us tomorrow without Trott.
Trott will not play even if required to bat at the tail end?
With bat and ball , Broad cost India about 150 runs single handedly

PS I expected an Indian win at this ground before the series and still think they are favourites, and more than capable of chasing 280.
Hahahaha ! Ready with an excuse already ? And werent you the one who was jumping & dancing with the pom poms in hand claiming England to be no 1 and India will be crushed in the series ? Pretty quick in saving your face, haan ? ) )
I hope India do win this one which will be a slap on the face of the likes of you...
Its also funny to see your response at Trott's injury. Already coming with excuses. While Indians have been unlucky with injuries and still going on, still all they get is being scorned off !
Hey *****, read all his posts before you comment like a chotch troll. He predicted a loss at TB ages back, before the lord's test even, and England wins at Oval and Edgbaston, he's stuck true to his predictions, and you're just insulting him for no reason. Why do you think most of this site dislikes people like you?

Ignore him we all know his motives
He is already succeeding.
News.
England hopeful of Trott batting at some point tomorrow
Even a scrappy one-handed 20 could be crucial.
In my view, KP would be the most dangerous one tomorrow, we need to take him out early. he can completely change the game in one session itself. Tough day, but England on the rise just because of the way they fought in the last session. I was having nice evening TV time and Broad dashed nice ending to the day
So the **** mouthpiece comes free of cost with his master )
Contrary to popular belief the key man is Ian Bell.
Trott will be unable to bat
And Morgan right?
All that has gone before is irrelevant. Ian Bell can forever silence the doubters with a match-winning innings tomorrow, he has a great chance of being the hero. We need to stop relying on South Africans..
Our bowlers are decent, so Dravid will fail eventually as will Laxman. Then again that little fella has got to come good eventually...

Did you actually watch that innings? I did - Mitchell Johnson became Wasim Akram for a day. He was swinging the ball sharply both ways at over 140ks. Johnson is crap 9 out of 10 days, but he has the odd sensational bowling performance. It wasn't average bowling by any means. Which is why it's all the more pity that he's mentally fragile.
It's a result wicket for sure.
Look at the scenarios:
2-0 England
or
1-1
Massive margins.
How about
India 2-1 England.
Very possible if we win this won, if we win this test we are not gonna lose the series for sure.
You can forget the draw here.
All up to the bowlers first and then the batsmen to knock off the runs. Pivotal Test of the series.
