Pace without skills is useless. You need bounce and ability to bowl in swing and out swing. Variations too.

For example, scoring a hundred against Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood should yield more points than scoring a hundred against a B string Australian attack because those bowlers are higher ranked.

Similarly, players who miss matches shouldn’t lose ranking points.

This way Babar and Pakistan will never climb to the top of the rankings.

The fault is with our BCCI cement heads who do not want to take risks and select him in test matches. For too long we have gone in with same bowlers for last 6 yeears or so, no newcomers.
I would rather a guy like umraan gets thrown in into test matchs, he is 25+ this is his time. i feel he has the potential to be the cutting edge for us in tests.

I already said bumrah and shami are on their way to being a sub 25 level great bowler. Actually shami might be slightly higher than 25 I am not too sure.

And yes bumrah is world class. At his best he is near wasim level. Wasim did it for a long time though.

Maybe but he needs to develop skills. Bouncer, variations. He has time yes. But I feel he regressed badly off late.
