Where is Rishabh Pant?

Damn pant should've been included in odi squad and drafted straight to playing 11. The kid is special .Any talks of he not being ready or letting him play more domestics first is nonsense.

England only have once chance and that's no chance!:uak If they bat first need to score at least 350, if they chase need to keep India down to around 280.

his knock in the warmups mean he's guaranteed a start in the T20s.

Probably, both side would like to chase .......

How is Pune getting so many matches?Didn't we play the Lanka T20 here as well?

This England ODI team is really something. One needs a bit of luck and a some great performances (Carlos Braithwaite) to beat this team.

This team should really be looking at the 2019 WC as their goal. Anything short and English fans should be disappointed.

They will not win 2019WC. Just don't have bowlers. I'd back India and Australia to chase whatever score they put on the board, unless it's >360.

They have a decent bowling combo for England, where most ODI pitches are absolute roads. The grounds are also not big, unlike Australia. 325+ will be the norm.

If the pitches have something for the bowlers, the I would expect Aus, Ind, SA and even Bang to come into the equation. But Indian batting is not as dynamic, Aus struggle if there is anything for bowlers, SA do an SA, and Bang dont have the experience.

Extremely strong India lineup for the conditions. Jadhav gives extra spin option along with batting stability. I assume in England, Ind might prefer a purer batsman like Rahane or Pandey.

T20s are meaningless my friend.Besides we don't play much t20s anyway. Also players like him will do the best in tests then odis and worst of all in t20s aka sehwag and warner

they're not meaningless because they hand out world cups in the format.:djb
i disagree with the second sentence. He is all out attack so will be a match winner in this format too.

He is all out attack and that is the reason he will get out early in t20s since he would try to be over assertive due to free license to attack. But ofcourse if he is more talented than I assume then he might do well.

Like gayle?

I agree that he can be a match winner in tests and ODIs too.

Yadav bowled 140+ last over. Also had a bit of seam and swing movement. Needs to learn how to bring the ball in though.

not out but not bad.

what I like about Yadav is that while he sprays the ball around, he also bowls wicket taking balls in between.

OK. So now I am really missing bhuvi... He would have never given these boundaries on this pitch

I think they didnt pick Bhuvi because they believe that they can only play one of Pandya or Bhuvi in the side. With the additional batting firepower that Pandya brings, they went for Pandya.

" if you don't give me new ball, I will take wicket by run outs" - Bumrah...

Poor running, one run was enough there, but great fiedling!

Yadav needs to be dropped now. He has turned into India's Wahab, utterly useless.

Roy has amazing fast hands and balance is impeccable.

England should give him a go in Tests - he could be destructive.

Umesh and Pandya got thrashed.

Jaddu bowling too short.

Ashwin opening the legside field and bowling on pads. You must be a special kind of stupid to do that. Single is guaranteed with that field and bowling.

Good going by England.

Rubbish bowling by Ashwin.

2012 all over again.

Just bowl normally (over the wicket...flight) instead of trying to be too smart.

Need to look for wickets instead of containing runs.

Pakistan today looked to take wickets.

And we are looking to contain runs.

So infuriating to watch these fields and bowling.

Hasnt played ODIs for long tbf

Will be good once settles in

Surprised Kohli isnt asking him to attack with wickets needed

Nonsense from both Ash and Koli.

He is opening up the legside field and bowling on pads.

Even Angelo Mathews captaincy is better than this.

This is simply poor thinking and execution. I get reminded of those 2012 ODI phainties when I watch this gutless form of bowling.

its not poor execution. He's bowling to his plan.
probably wanted roy to slow down a little.

dropped catch there...

What is Ashwin doing? Make him drive against the turn. Why bowl around the wicket? That's not your strength.

this is good. ashwin has sucked the momentum out of roy. Genius. roy got impatient, jaddu got the rewards.
