Sounds good on paper.

Our bowlers are barely average. England have to revert back to their old ways of playign spin for them to collapse.

Ashwin cannot spin the ball to save his life.
There is nothing much in this pitch for Ishant who bowls well on pitches with some bounce. This is a dead track.
Zak is old and done.
Ojha is the only bright hope. But he is not a strike bowler. He is a support bowler. Not his fault.

We have been winning because of our batting. Now that seems to be deserting us with every Passing Test Match.

I like your optimism. But I will be happy if India manages a draw a save their face.

Never seen Indian batting playing so badly in home conditions. I understand that Mumbai pitch was tough and Monty was unplayable. But on this flat pitch, there are no excuses. Indian batting is just past its sell date.

this is getting worse than 90s for India.
Whitewash away from home, Avoid whitewash at home.. On a 500+ track, yeh haal hai..

Nah, We have to be 10 times more pathetic than we are right now to reach the 90's level. :msd

But Azhar's 90s team didn't lose a single test series in India.
Also never got whitewashed like Dhoni's team did.
ODIs team is better.

Can't see India scoring too many now,Zaheer, Ishant and Ojha are pure tailenders, what is going to be interesting to see now is how the Indian spinners go on this track, a lot will depend on Cook's wicket, if India can get him early then ENG are under pressure, Cook will be the big fish tomorrow.

Eng need to wrap things up early tomorrow. Game nicely poised atm. Cook's wicket will be key for India. If they can get him cheaply that may well set the cat among the pigeons.

:kohli Tough day ahead...................Trott n Bell batting till stumps..........trail by 32

Pitch ain't turning yet, if not Cook either Trott or Bell will come good. The key for us is to see of Zaheer.

I don't know if missing Ashwin's runout was a blessing in disguise else we could be facing Indian bowlers with some help from the pitch in the morning session. If we manage to get them out for another 40-50 runs in an hour, we are in a good position to enjoy the best batting days after avoiding the morning juice.

We need to keep our heads down and grind the runs as we've been doing in the last 3 inns. Forget the situation, just play as you played before.

Go England Go. 👍

England will find scoring difficult on this pitch. The bounce on this pitch is really low, ball will skid on and keep low, you're doomed if you stay on the back foot.I think Ohja will be very hard to play on this pitch.

LOL AT indians getting all dramatic..
dont worry.
It is highly unlikely that england can pull two victories in the subcontinent in a row

I'd be furious if I was Anderson. Swann should have taken that.

out

lol at Monty, hes stopped from hi-fives,now does these:)))

And Dhoni gets a single. Should've let it go for 4, so that Ojha can be on strike in the next over.

That LBW looked out in real time, and accordingly no replays to show that.

Still not convinced by Patel's selection, but credit where credit's due, the whole piece of fielding to run out Sehwag was outstanding. The chase, the dive, the awareness, the perfect throw over the stumps.

Is this a good score by the way?

As Finn and Swann continue their drive towards a 30+ average, which seems to be mandatory for an English bowler.

Finally Dhoni goes.

20 more runs than should have been allowed, but still very good of England to dismiss them for 316 on a flat pitch.

great ball equally well caught

Good total I guess..pitch doesn't look too good for England batsmen..they will struggle big time.

Superficially we can call this a good effort from England. The last five Tests here India scored 400, 500, 550, and two lots of 600 in their first innings. Not sure if they got bowled out these times or not.

It's certainly not enough runs to seal the game. You need at least 450 to do that. Now it all depends on how England bat of course.

Lets see both sides bat on it before calling it flat eh?

The pitch is clearly flat, doesn't mean England wont screw it up.

Irrespective of how England bats, their bowling did well to restrict them to 316 on this pitch.

Eng need to bat next two days and get a big lead here.

:))) :))) on this pitch I don't think they'll survive a day.. though I'd hope they prove me wrong and score big but it'll take some good batting.
