Poor stuff from Salah. I did suspect Liverpool's bad form may have stemmed from Slot losing the dressing room.

About time we got a decision. We've had some shockers against us recently.Baldy gets another week thanks to Bastoni. It was a very soft penalty.
Back to system employed by managers 15-20 years ago. I think I fell asleep watching at one point.

IMO we should continue with this system as leaking goals has been our biggest problem. That was like a typical Euro away under Houllier and Benitez.
More so, the Konate goal that was denied was a very soft decision.About time we got a decision. We've had some shockers against us recently.

Above and beyond I don't know what is to laugh about like nunez ,slot doesn't see salah in his system and his tactics and style of football .
Salah worked in klopps system but they are 2 different managers.
Now question is can slot stop the rot in the premier league ?
And can he go on and be able to compete and win trophies or at least make sure liverpool be a continous top 4 finish and atm the way this season is going out the jury is out .
But obviously our owners want to cash in on salah since those funds and wage bill saved will most likely fund the moves for semenyo and guehi.
Salah had his best season because Slot had no input into the team, he was following Klopp's blueprint with players he had left behind. The moment he has stepped away from that this season, we can see what his true abilities are. They won yesterday because Inter was content in not pressing hard. That will not be the case against Brighton. And also, let's be honest, playing the style from 20 years ago, will not win you anything these days. It never did us then either apart from cups here and there.I presume you didnt watch any of last season?
Salah had his best season ever, and that was under Slot. The issue with Salah this season is both related to his own form and the integration of the new players which requires chemistry to build cohesion.

Indeed. Salah literally won a PL title for Liverpool on his own, much like Cantona did in some years at united. Slot looks a lost soul after spending £400 million, replacing quality proven PL players with unproven ones. Only Ekitike looks a decent buy.Stats suggest if Salah wasnt in the team last season, Liverpool would have finished in the bottom half. Of course another player could have scored /assisted a few but not to his level. He was just phenomenal.
It seems Slot is still trying to figure out a method of playing. Klopp played 4-3-3 with high press, high energy football. Slot has played 4/5 different formations, chopping and changing players, continue to play players who are in terrible form because of the high spend. He's lucky he has some quality world class players who try hard and even with a confused manager they can win the odd matches.
I'd be shocked if Slot wins another major trophy a LFC.
Thats ridiculous. Klopp didnt exactly set the world on fire. One Title in Nine seasons. Since winning the Title in covid, he was rather disappointing. Actually, Slot winning the title further undermined klopp, what he couldn't do for four seasons, this guy did in his first season.
Liverpool conceding late late goals in alot of their recent defeats is down to the concentration levels of the Players than on Slot in my opinion.
Haha... live in that bubble bhai.... in that same bubble, not winning the European cup does not matterRating most entitled fans
1) Liverpool
…
…
‘clueless manager’ won league in his first year because ‘Salah won the league on his own’
Szobolzai, MacAllister, Gravenberch, Diaz say HI![]()
Works out to be £130m with solidarity payments, maybe a bit more considering Isak will rightly not be getting his loyalty bonus
I actually don't feel anywhere near as bad as I thought I would
Maybe it's because I've been expecting this deal to happen so came to terms with it a while ago, I even said last week I think £120m plus some add ons gets the deal (I even said last month when players push for a move they mostly get it)
There is a lot of anger amongst our fans but for me it's quite simple, Newcastle United was there before Isak and it will be there after him
I'm not going to blame the club like I did when we sold Carroll to them. This is very different, this situation has been engineered by Liverpool, Isak and his agent from the start. And ultimately players do hold the main card, which is stepping on to that pitch.
His behaviour meant an exit was the right thing and exit this summer was the right thing. Yes, we could have held on for another 6/12 months but what would we have gained from that? An extra £15m/£20m? Which considering the distraction and the cloud that would followed through the season isn't worth that much
We have doubled our money on him, our PSR situation will be very healthy in the medium term, we can fully focus our energy on the players that are at the club (well, a little bit of energy on hate watching too).
We also know he's not the most robust, if he keeps picking up those niggles it may turn out to be a poor buy from Liverpool and suddenly the £130m will look even better.
Tbh bhai, Injuries like thesw are freak events, it happens, was a sublime finish but unfortunately he will miss time now. The key is to get him ready for next season In sha Allah. After the news of his latest injury the £130m is looking like a cracking deal from our side
Though bit mixed when it comes to what we spent it on

Ekitike will now have a clear starting role

Spot on!Absolutely, it's just bad luck (or Karma according to Simon Jordan)
Of course when selling him you can never predict these things
But first season has been a failure however he's still young and has many years left to repay his faith
I do agree, in a strange way for Liverpool it could be a blessing as Ekitike is the main man and they won't be under pressure to play the £125m player ahead of him
Agreed, I think Woltemade has more than decent potential bhaiWoltemade was a good signing and he should start ahead of Havertz as Germany's CF in the WC this summer.

Have seen some Newcastle fans celebrating Isak’s injury. Despicable people.
The glee is pretty sickening. They got lot of money for him and yet they harbour such poisonous thoughts.Have seen some Newcastle fans celebrating Isak’s injury. Despicable people.
Disagree, woltemade has solid potential...Isak will be back, very unlucky .
But you’ve spent most of that on a German donkey who can’t run but can pop up and score with his nose . With Isak you got top 4.
Now finishing ahead of Sunderland is your target
German donkey? You clearly haven't been watching him or you are just weirdly bitter about somethingIsak will be back, very unlucky .

What does it say about Liverpool fans that were happy Trent got injured for Madrid? Or the Liverpool fans that have mocked the Munich air disaster? The glee is pretty sickening. They got lot of money for him and yet they harbour such poisonous thoughts.
small people, small minds, no wonder they are generational losers, may they continue to be so for generations to come.
German donkey? You clearly haven't been watching him or you are just weirdly bitter about something
I'll go with bitter
Woltemade has been a very good signing for us, 9 goals in December is a solid return in his debut season
You'd kill for your German donkey to have half his goal return

Alan Shearer pointed out his lack of running ability. Hes bitter too ?
You glee at a players injury only because your team without him are much worse . Again you were champions league with Isak but won’t even finish higher than Sunderland. Youre the bitter one
He's a tall guy, you'd be hard pressed to find someone as tall as him be quick, that doesn't make him a donkey
He's been a good footballer and has been a good signing for us, especially when you compare him to most of the other striker signings this summer (Sesko, Gyokeres etc)
Again, where have I shown any glee?
As for Champions League, the first time we made it a couple of seasons ago he was mostly injured, it was Callum Wilson that was top scorer. We might not get there this season but we will get there again.
You won the league, spent over £400m, broke the British transfer record twice, are you bitter that you aren't running away with the league as was the expectation?
We already won it twice in recent years and will win it numerous times before you . Strange thing to point out lol
If you feel joy at another players serious injury , you will get it in return , how Sunderland is a better team .
Bhai, politely, why the need to antagonise the geordies? I get banter and i get the gooners have gone absurd in some of their stuff and it is warranted but Newcastle? We already won it twice in recent years and will win it numerous times before you . Strange thing to point out lol

After Haaland, Woltemade been the best CF in the Premier League. He's got enormous potential. Infact, his all round game is excellent.
Woltemade also has the potential to play off a central striker, has the game for it, a lot of versatility.
Ekitike has been better but Woltemade has then been the best
Arsenal to win quite easily with the eay this Liverpool side is playing.... anything less than a clear and convincing win for Arsenal would be shocking
They should and they have in previous seasons. Arsenal’s real mental block against Liv remains when visiting Anfield.Arsenal to win quite easily with the eay this Liverpool side is playing.... anything less than a clear and convincing win for Arsenal would be shocking

Nobody’s going to take Liv lightly though.

It should be a BIG mismatch.... Arsenal should win by some distance
I was surprised Liverpool didn't score at home against Leeds as they were on a good run of form.
I do feel more confident facing Slot's side this season when compared to last season's side but as mentioned by Obaidd, you cannot be taken lightly as you might step up in a big game.
Just out of curiosity. Would you prefer Arsenal or City win the PL this season?
Wirtz been very Ordinary to be honest, when you compare him to what Cherki is doing at City.

Cherki is some baller. Those passes in tight spaces, dribbling and playmaking as a whole is so good to watch. 9 G/A in 13 PL matches this season. He took a month or two to settle in but he's now found his groove.
If the key spanish players are fit and ready to go, would back themFrance have got some serious talent.
Mbappe cherki olise eboue dembele barcola Mateta. Going to take some beating this summer
If the key spanish players are fit and ready to go, would back them
They have enough....Spain does not have the fire power France has.
With Chelsea, United constantly causing self inflicting damage to themselves. Sunderland will more than likely start to falter. Liverpool should scrape 4th place at end of the season
Just 30 goals in 19 league games and all that after spending 400M in summer, most of that on attacking signings. Chelsea and United have better goal output in PL this season so far.Typical slow Dutch style of keeping possession and creating very little up front , a slow plodding mechanical style it might work if our defence was top notch but in premiership due to the pace you will get caught on the break and even against Leeds there were chances where they could have nicked this game.
Conclusion it might keep a steady ship but liverpool won't be winning titles and cups with this managers style and tactics that's for sure .
This is spot on....Slot is a lazy coach. He thought he could sit back and the creativity will come. However the opposition have countered Liverpool and Liverpool look clueless.
There are some clubs that routinely spend 9 digit sums in each summer.... i guess you must be speaking from experience- all that spend and what have you won in the last x no of years?!Just 30 goals in 19 league games and all that after spending 400M in summer, most of that on attacking signings. I appreciate certain (not all) gooners are puffing their chests out and flexing this season moreso than usual, i hppe you guys get over the line with all the cheques you be writing.... because it means absolutely nothing to say- well the scousers did this or that- if you bottle it (again)....
This time looks more promising, so, we can see even more gooners resort to hyperbolle etc.
AJ, you might even get to resort to talking about a grown man twerking again- Van twirk wasn't it? When yku guys beat Liverpool next week as opposed to having all them pictures of that to yourself- perfectly rationale for a grown man (minimum 40s) to regurgitate about another grown man twerking....!
decades etc is irrelevant when you consider a grown man resorts to memes galore and that too, of a grown man twerking.@Amjid Javed is a respectable poster with decades of quality input. He deserves abit of respect i reckon.

Haha! When certain fans are resorting to making up stuff, you know they are rattled.
No one on this forum that supports Arsenal is getting carried away with this season. But supposedly there is loads of showing chest.
Yet plenty of Liverpool fans were proclaiming after 5 games in this thread, they were going to walk the league, they were going to be "scary in December".
As a coping mechanism they are now coming up with made up scenarios from Arsenal fans.
When fans can comprehend their own clubs failures this season, after running their mouths. They deserve the humble pie they are getting.
Personally, not fussed who wins it if not Liverpool- out of Arsenal and City.
Fair. I know some Liverpool fans, who want City to win it because they believe Arsenal fans would be "unbearable" if we won it and there are those who want Arsenal to win it because they feel City cheated their way into winning it with the 115 charges, which cost Liverpool a league or two.
Progress from the 'relegation battle' talk that you cultivated about 4 to 6 weeks ago.Liverpool still scrapping for 4th place with Chelsea, United and Brentford
Spent nearly half a billion to make the team worse. What a Man U like clown show.
Liverpool have won 5 out out of their last 15 games.... That says it all.
Slot has to go and should be one of the last dutch managers in the PL for a long while.
