Manjrekar did a favor on Mumbai by lightning a fire under Pollard..
 
Krunal Pandya >> Hardik

Whenever I see krunal play, he looks like a much much batsman than his younger brother.

Krunal is also a useful spinner. Can be your 5th bowler. Plus he is an excellent fielder.
 
Mills has one of the best slower balls . Could literally bowl 3 an over and get away with it

Yeh I can see that Krunal looks like a much better bat but Hardik can be a better use as a bowler at times though , we got more options for part time spinners
 
If MI were down 7/4 and won the match , RCB - you are losing the plot.

RCB and Pune have the worst bowlers. No amount of runs scored can save them from humiliation.

142 on this pitch was defendable. But RCB bowlers bowled trash (Except for Badree's initial burst).

Hardik is also a 5th or 6th bowler kind of player. He should not be in your top 4 bowlers.

I am watching Hardik bowling keenly. He still does not have a slower ball or a surprise steep bouncer or a slow bouncer. No variations what so ever. He is your gun barrel straight bowler who can be taken to cleaners by big hitters.

If I have Ashwin and Jadeja in the lineup , I'd be more inclined to have Hardik as the potential 3rd seamer.
 
Great performance from Pollard and K pandya, at 7-4 i thought that is game done, kohli fluffed his lines with captaincy. Also special thanks to manju for pollard's smart innings, the brainless comment really did a good job for us. Also kudos to bcci for felicitating ex women cricketers.
 
Kohli's captaincy in limited overs is exposed again! Dhoni at his prime would never lose from such situations, he used to work well with ordinary team-men! Actually Kohli has a good pool of players (RCB) to choose playing XI and execute with it!

Delhi played well didn't expect them to score this much thought they had a garbage team apparently not this might be our year..

Delhi team is far from garbage. They got the best bowling lineup in the IPL; Zaheer, Cummins, Morris, Mishra, Nadeem; lots of variety and quality there. And also they have the best young Indian batting talent with Shreyas, Karun, Samson, Pant. Very exciting team. I am rooting for RCB and DD this time around. Hope both meet in the finals.
 
DD look to have all basis covered, they could be a surprise package this year. Kkr looking to be a solid outfit as always.
 
Delhi looks a very balanced team although DD has never performed well in the IPL but def with Pune and lions struggling and RCB swinging, it's DD's chance to make it to the playoffs

Time for Pant to be fast tracked and Samson is finally getting a bit consistent now.Delhi has the best set of youngsters Iyer and Nair there too.
Khalil Ahmed there too hopefully he develops.
 
What a close game ! DD has the best bowling unit - Zaheer , Shami , Angelo , Cummins
If they defend this , DD is def going to the top 4

Pant was on fire !

If at all Pandey is consistent like this he would be such an asset to Indian team! The finisher whom we are looking for (after Yuvi's & Dhoni's decline)

Actually Pathan brothers had such immense talent! Did not live up to it for Indian team!
 
Pandey is a domestic legend. He is a pretty good IPL batsman too.

He just could not replicate it in international arena. Mental issues I guess.

Manish Pant Jadhav... This should be our middle order. Manish has that cool head to win games like these for India. Look at the way he just pushed that ball and ran two instead of going for glory. Amazing match awareness. India should give stick with Jadhav, Manish. Hope Yuvraj and Dhoni fail badly in the Champions Trophy.

Don't think so. He has never been given chances for India despite performing in IPL and domestic circuit for years. He set the IPL on fire with first hundred by an India in the IPL back in 2009. You'd think he might have played at least 100 matches by now. But he has played only 12 ODIS and even in that, had a match-winning century while chasing in Australia.

Nabi might get carted. Off Spinners usually get destroyed. But its KXIP. So its fine. They are a terrible team except Maxwell.
 
Ishant Sharma bowling well, Reaching good speeds too at 146K, last match he reached 148k.
 
Rashid Khan needs a promotion. Looked far more assured than Nabi.

In fact, guys like Naman Ojha need a demotion. He has been terrible with the bat for a long long time now.

SRH needs to send in their big hitters up the order. Big hitters need to face most of the deliveries.
 
Bhuvi in beast mode, swings the ball and gets Amla out on the first ball of the innings.
 
Bhuvi is swinging the ball a lot at great pace, 141k second ball.
 
Nabi and Rashid Khan destroy Kings XI, Afghan players making their mark at the biggest stage.
 
That drop by Dhawan in last over will prove costly, had to catch that
 
Bhuvi must be there in the team for England. He's a monster in swinging conditions.

Indeed he looks very promising. 3 wicket-taking deliveries back to back and finally got the big man. Was fantastic in the last match as well.
 
If Lions pull off this chase , RCB shouldn't even show up to the other games . this would be quite embarrassing
 
Virat's captaincy looks hella weak if he can't get his bowlers to defend this .
 
Virat needs to keep his emotions in check , he isn't playing gully cricket anymore , can't swear anytime someone hits a boundary. He could be the best batsman but that sort of behaviour is beinn unfit to be an international captain

guy was cursing every time his bowlers were getting hit in the chase, Don't know whether he was cursing the bowler out or the batsman or in general but you are the star player - captain of your side - win or lose maintain some composure and know the cameras are watching your every move.
