England's batters delivered a dominating reply, reducing their deficit to just 64 runs. After 81 overs, they have scored 396 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Every batter who walked out to bat today surpassed fifty, with Joe Root and Harry Brook converting theirs into significant hundreds. Root set a few records today, including surpassing Sir Alastair Cook as England's leading run-scorer in Tests. Brook continued his impressive form against Pakistan, marking his third century in as many innings.

Currently, the duo is involved in a formidable 243-run partnership and looks set to extend that further. Pakistan managed to take one wicket in each of the first two sessions but went wicketless in the third. For much of the day, they seemed to be going through the motions, as nothing appeared to be working in their favor. They will be hoping for a better performance tomorrow.

What a huge day ahead. Maybe bowlers find early movement and restrict England under 600 but 700+ on the card and a game in peril

Expect England to bat atleast 2 sessions smash close to 250-300 and dec or get bowled out while hitting out.

Pakistan then collapses to an inns defeat most likely while they try and play block block.

He looked so tired and wiped out yesterday. I expect him to take more risks like reverse scoop, reverse lap. SO he may not play that long. Besides this ENglish unit tail is a good tail. So he can take risks
He must eat Sohn Multani Halwa in the morning after waking up then. Instant energy.

enough for england to get the result

My guess is England will allocate 60 overs (assuming they don't lose all their strike forces early) to their batting and have a crack at Pakistan in the next 120 overs. In 2022 Pakistan batted 102 overs on the same track. So England will be giving themselves some extra overs hoping the pitch would help them.

It is “moving day” in this Test.

Bit of a dilemma for Pak who undoubtedly want to find some purchase and take the 7 wickets, but if this happens then it arguably puts them at more risk because Eng bowlers would be more confident of getting something out of a wearing pitch also.

This pitch will remain same all the five day so pakistan easily can draw if they play sensible .
Pitch may remain same but pressure on batsman to survive on fifth day is altogether different one ..Usually pressure situation dictates more than pitch in a fifth day of test match..It will be an achievement if pakistan draws this one ..

@Devadwal

King Warner at the top, no Indian player including Laxman 🫠🫠

300 loading for Root if England chose not to declare. 200 loadin for Brook easy.

This game is so boring that I would watch NFL instead of this (I have not even once in my life watched an NFL game)

I want to see Root breaking Sachin sir's highest test runs record. It will hurt a bit for Indian fans like me but it would be awesome for future of my favourite format ie test cricket.

If there is one thing Pakistan needs to do fix , it is the fitness and fielding..if it doesnt , for the next 30 years Pakistan fans will be viewing the same basic errors

4 man attack down to 3 with no spinner . England should bat till these bowlers are sent to the hospital.

This is demoralising for the players at the administrations own hands.

They will now bat defensively and will likely lose the match. What is the point of dragging the insult into the 3rd session of the 5th day?

Abrar should retire from Test cricket. Even as an Indian, I couldn't help but sympathise with his clueless expressions when Crawley/ Brook slapped him around

He just doesn't have what it takes to be a Test bowler. Needs to stick to T20 where he offers much more.

He will be slaughtered in T20I also against SA/Eng/Ind/Aus. Klaasen alone will smash him to oblivion. Then we have Head/Pandya/Jaiswal/Salt etc.

Abrar may have a nerd physique. People with this condition can bowl 30 over full throttle one day and can't get up from bed next day. Please don't ask how I know this. :uak

He can work on his game to be at least among Pakistan's best which is not a high bar tbh.

Test cricket is for real spinners who give it a big rip and can land the ball 5 out of 6 times.

Abrar should , in the meantime, look for roles in Urdu Harry Potter productions if any in Pakistan

Painful day expected today :uak

England Batters will Maul Pakistani Bowlers.

Root will pile on the runs and get closer and closer to Tendulkar

Abrar has surely played his last test match. Havent seen any spinner getting fever after bowling 30 overs in a day. That should be their day to day routine as a professional player
