concentrate lads

got to keep it tight for the next 18 overs and blunt teh new ball

It was but I don't know why you keep going on about it. England has boring players too(even though overall you have more exciting players than us). But the point is, you got your entertainment with the opening partnership. Now get frustrated with the tuk tuk :D

yeah we have boring players but at least they are proper and correct, and provide interest for the purist. a not at the races Younis and tuk tuk Misbah makes for brutal viewing

Chris a poor selection for this match IMO, neither attacking nor defensive on these sorts of pitches, just bowls outside off and does nothing really

England's session, just when we were shutting the door on them, Hafeez's brainfart allowed them to stick a toe in at the last moment.

gotta battle again now, all up for grabs!

Atleast HAfeez is the highest scorer of the match currently.

New ball due in 5 overs. I think trott/tremlett will keep bowling now and then anderson and broad will be given new ball.

I think a lead of 130-150 should be very good on this pitch. If we can get the spin trio to bowl tight and keep the scoring to less than 2.5 rpo then the frustration felt by the English batsmen will, hopefully, help us bowl them out. England are not used to scoring at less than 3rpo and in search of runs they will look to play sweeps, pulls etc of balls that are not there to be hit. Strauss, KP, Morgan are all a case in point from the first innings.

I hope these two are confident against the new ball because they are making no attempt to score off the old one.

Misbah and Asad need to try and rotate the strike. Things are stagnating here and a loss of a wicket and game is back to even stevens!

personally I've come to really enjoy tuk tuk cricket

its actually tradional test match cricket fare

a test in concentration and endurance for both players and supporters

maybe you're just not suited to watching the purist form of teh game played in its purist sense

Waqar Younis' commentary this morning was priceless. He talk constantly, word after word with his theories etc. Nasser H couldnt get a word in.

One funny moment though when Hafeez (I think) drove down the ground. Both Nass and Waqar said 'what a shot ' at the same time. Nass is the main commentator and Waqar made a howler.

So annoying after Trott's success and troubling the batsmen suddenly he's being treated as their main pace bowler :)))

5 runs of the over, Pak moves on to 224/4, Lead by 32 runs.

28 more overs to go in the day .... we need to hold ourselves togather today ..... 300 by the end of play.. with no more damage would be perfect

I take your point. Can't do much though if batsmen are playing ugly. In the case of Misbah it's just how he plays. Ugly and effective over beautiful and ineffective anyday.

Much better from Asad! just need Misbah to start moving up into 2nd gear atleast!

come on Misbah/Asad! bat through whole session solidly and score at a nice steady rate!

At current rate we should be around 110 ahead at close of play and still hopefully 4 wickets down.

Mmm, should probably have gone for the pacier Finn who bowls more wicket-taking balls.

And Montsta of course!

younis khan lbw was always on cards...the way he bring his left leg way before the ball ..he was always a candidate for LBW

Considering what a clean and powerful hitter Misbah is....it really is surprising why he goes block block block for so long........he could easily up the rate without an risks

Evening Session | 0/15 | 8 Overs | Todays play | 4/186 | 65 Overs

New ball has been taken, Jimmy Anderson gonna bowl the very first over with the 2nd new ball for England..

Pakistan need to cash in on anything loose here and also make sure we dont give any wickets away!

ball is shaping for anderson now

he needs to get more closer just the way he did in the previous delivery

Pretty much this last 25 overs in days play will be hugely pivitol in balance of the game!

Anderson bowling Indian Express Pace -.-

He needs to eat Meat
