I want Umar Akmal to come into the side but I don't want Shafiq to fail here.

Dilemma!

nuhhhhhhh! come on this is actually interesting at last.

wonder how Misbah will do without the far better player at the other end who has just got out.
Misbah's fine. It's asad we're worried about at the moment.

Asad, Akmal, Rehman
All walking wickets. I doubt we will even reach the 300 mark...

at Tea on Day 2, Pak stands at 213/4, Lead by 21 runs.

Misbah 19*
Asad 5*

Younis 37
Hafeez 88
Azhar Ali 1
Taufeeq 58

well its all about the last session of the day today.. which will tell the balance of this match .... 2 more down . in this session .. can tell a better session from England

Slow and steady guys. Bat out the day and runs will come. Break the backs of English bowlers.

would have been pakistans session for sure had yk not fallen....balance is even if not slightly in favour of england

Both Hafeez and Younis were wasted wickets.........why sweep when you are doing so well normally.....and Younis should have hit Trott out of the attack instead of leaving.

Post TEA session will be very crucial and it will be sort of a decider on who is actually on the driving seat, looking at the numbers Pakistan is due to score at least 100+ lead but you never know when it comes to Pakistan..

but hopes are high.. may Allah bless our boys... well done none the less.. 2+ more hours, get yourself counted!!

1st session - Draw
2nd Session - Englands

Pakistan need to win last session today and end the day in a strong postion!

England clawing their way back, and will feel they are in the game now.

But they will need a plan for the 124237644 overs of spin they are going to get in the second inning. And Pakistan wont want to chase more than 100, given their history.

we've taken 4/100, much improved but the game is still a long way away from us.

crucial last session, new ball due in 8 overs. Pakistan need to maintain wickets more than score really. ENGLAND NEED WICKETS. Four preferably.

England's session, just when we were shutting the door on them, Hafeez's brainfart allowed them to stick a toe in at the last moment.

gotta battle again now, all up for grabs!

a lot will depend who wins the next session ... that will depend where things go in this match

just hanging around isn't going to do much if we keep losing wickets cheaply, so should look to score via controlled aggression instead of tuk tuk...a lead of 150 needed...

England have clawed back a bit, but we're still well ahead. 200/4 is good, we're on course for a 400 so score. We will definitely get at least 100 lead here.

other than these 2 who is going to make those 200 runs?!

It depends what we can get from Shafiq and Akmal really. Misbah is still there but we can't rely on just him. The pitch is still good so there is a good chance for those two to hit a few runs like England's lower order.

England back in the match. Next session will be crucial for both teams.

These two, adnan, then the tail will wag a bit considering it's a flat pitch.

200 is debatable, but I'll be very surprised if we don't get at least 100 lead here. 200/4 is a solid score.

this is the kind of situation where you need a counter attack to peg the opposition back and junior would've been ideal instead we are going to be treated with tuk tuk and given our history, it can all fall apart quickly...

post tea, should come out with positive intent to score runs instead of going into a shell...

I would have taken 320 all out at the start of today, England have come back to draw or win from 150 deficit before. That should still be the aim at 213/4.

if Misbah, Shafiq and Akmal steady the ship, Pakistan are on for 400. This is when an England loss becomes likely.

really boring and unskilful viewing there with the Misbah and Younis partnership - no offence but it really was awful - but now we are hopefully on for a great match.

at the moment 100 is looking difficult but lets hope for the best...

we Pak fans are a little pessimistic aren't we?

If England was 200/4, don't think many people would think we would be close to bottling england out under 300.

England will have to do something very special to limit us under 300.

This session is crucial and will decide which way the momentum goes from now on

England rarely concede 350-400 in any situation

It was but I don't know why you keep going on about it. England has boring players too(even though overall you have more exciting players than us). But the point is, you got your entertainment with the opening partnership. Now get frustrated with the tuk tuk :D

at the end of the over, Pak 215/4, Lead by 23 runs.

Misbah 20*
Asad 6*

Younis 37
Hafeez 88

England bat far deeper, that's all there is to it. Even Broad has a century under his belt, our batting finishes at no 6 really.

yeah, but these rarely let the opposition get 100 without loss, and even to 200 for 4.

Pak batsmen don't look particularly uncomfortable, England are bowling good but don't look like taking a wicket every ball like in England.

Both these batsmen are good enough to put on decent scores long as they don't throw away their wickets.
