Easa said:Pakistan have had a good day, today. 130 still to get for South Africa, anything can happen still.
Hopefully a refreshed Asif and Kaneria will bowl them out tomorrow.
Not bad for a prediction - I guessTheSaint said:Kaneria and Asif in tandem will be a handful tomorrow even for about 130 needed.
What we need is another wicket tonight or if possible two to give the SA team some nightmares.
a loss is a loss whichever way you put it.Hash said:Well 69 for 2 and still another 130 to get.
You have to say South Africa are favourites from here. If we had got another wicket before close I would have been fairly confident but we won against England in Multan from a very similar position so don't lose hope.
Hashim is definitely struggling against Danish so there is always the possibility of a wicket there and with Harris in as well we are not going to get a better opportunity to knock over a couple of wickets in the first half hour or so. That is the key........do not let the saffies build any real partnerships.
Regardless of what happenes we can be proud of the Pakistan team. We are heavily depleted missing two key bowlers and one of our key batsman yet we were still able to take the saffies into the fifth day and match them for most of the test. We have done a lot better than many people predicted (losing inside 3 days, losing by an innings etc etc, where are the bashers now?) With our players returning for the 2nd Test things can only get better for us.

Hash said:Not at all. Completely disagree with that. Especially in the first match of a series.....
We have shown the saffies that we are not intimidated by them nor are we scared of south african conditions and we have shown them that despite missing three of our best players we have fought them hard and still have a chance of victory going into the 5th day. These psycological points

Siddharth, firstly let me say, that you are an excellent poster who makes alot of sense.siddharth said:hey Hash, that boy Shan had a lot of shock in this match.
1. he thought Pak would be all out for 92 in the 1st inngs.that didn't happen.
2.he thought None of the bowlers including Asif is not going to take any wickets and SA will score 500 ;innings defeat for pak easily.that didn't happen.
3.in the 2nd innings he was hoping for a disastrous collapse after 7wkts down.but much to the shock of him tail exploded and gave a decent lead (even if it is not sufficient).
4.he expected atleast 9 wkt victory for Saffies ,that also won't happen.
