They can get part timers steve Smith, labu, head on. Kohli will succumb to one of them. Lot of options. Mitch marsh can chip in too.

I just admired the facilities of Australian ground compared to india .

We need to learn alots from them( australian grounds facilities)

Australia should've declared earlier on Day 2 . Their fault.

There was serious food cover to be explored instead they added ultimately useless runs

Bro- it's good to be optimistic but to pull off dravid laxman feats - you need to have in form players not washed up seniors like rohit kohli. 😀 They are depending on 2 20 + yr old kids to do the heavy lifting batting. Would have had a higher hope if there were younger debutantes playing instead of these washed up guys.

They failed in the home series against NZ and ind promptly got whitewashed 3-0. These seniors kohli rohit etx are like parasitic leeches..
 
Any half decent team with form would have made sure this is a tepid draw. But India has given a massive sniff to Australia.

Starc actually gets worse the longer a series goes on, his record in 4th and 5th test matches is ordinary. But without Hazelwood Australia will keep persisting with him.

The Indian bowlers barring Bhumra had an off test match but they will bounce back in the last 2 test matches. This Australian team is still scarred by this Indian team, they play very defensively against them the longer a series goes on
 
If Mitchel Marsh cannot step up to support the Australian pacers, his selection is useless.
 
Akashdeep is better batsman than siraj. Not sure why Siraj is batting ahead of deep.
 
Steve Smith was clueless about how Australia would beat India at The Gabba in Josh Hazlewood's absence. He said this on Day 4 in an interaction with local broadcasters after the first session:

"No idea, we'll find out once we get them out and see what happens."

"Possibly, I don't know the answer to that though. And generally, you're feeling as if you're well on top of this game still."

Siraj is a proper no.11 batter. Shouldn't come earlier. The captain&coach are clueless once again. He doesn't have game awareness either.
 
If not for Rohit & Kohli, Australia was ripe for taking on this tour.

In last tour as well, these 2 contributed next to nothing.

This match would have been a certain draw if we had played some youngsters like Jhurel in place of them.

117 over left for this game.... Australia need first 3 wickets below 44runs

and then to take 13 wickets within 117 overs.
 
The schedule was drawn in such a way that first 3 venues were the toughest venues for tourists. Perth, Adelaide oval (pink ball too), Gabba. Generally it is hard to beat them there despite the last win of INdia, Windies. Their plan was to go 3-0 and seal the series and not allowing India to come back at the MCG and SCG.
 
Biggest advantage for Australia is they have two bowlers in pair to do the damage. Even hazlewood got a wicket. India had just one bowler.

Jurel was dispensed off basis 1 test and these 2 leeches have been leeching off Indian cricket for years now!

Even if they enforce follow on India should back themselves to draw this as there is more rain expected. But i don't have much of a trust though.

But test cricket is tough. Imagine playing for 7 hours a day. Fast bowlers are some of the fittest people on earth.


Batsmen. Even batting for long periods is not easy.

This is the weakest bowling attack since 2021


2015 to 2022 is the world's goat Asian pace attack. We just have crappy batsmen.

Even in that period. Even right now.

What happened to pant? Is he getting exposed now post injury? He isn't the same?

I think Pant is a middle order batsman. Batting at 5 with 3 down getting out inside 10 overs means he has to do the job of an opener. That is taking his potency away.
 
It's likely that India will be followed on. Need at least 2 sessions of rain (60 overs) to save the match. I don't see the second inning lasting more than 60 overs, given the current form of the Indian top order.

The funny thing is he was upset when jadeja refused the single at first but because of overthrow they took it.
