Oh nobody beat the legend afridi in ducks in ODI....... seriously younis should retire from ODI and concentrate on tests... he has acceptable average with soem runs and centuries call it a day in ODI and make a legend record in tests.

I only hope he gets the same kind of bowling in ODI's.
 
And that is why people don't comment on Kamran getting nothing off 10 balls or whatever. His S/R is now 95.

You do know that this all accounts for shizz if he doesn't perform in the ODI's.

I could care less if he strikes a 100 here and then scores only 50 odd in 5 ODIs


But I'm sure you'll take the 100 : )
 
Throw us a seam track and our bowlers can't swing the ball but when the opposition get their hands on the ball, they swing it miles !!

And the sad fact is they dont have to swing it miles to get our wickets.... remember hafeez in tests those were bowls for four.

kamran has the right idea... attack tahir... lets see if this wont turn into another world cup T20.... kamran hits a legendary 96 in the warm up match and then he flops the entire cup.

Misbah out to tahir..... WHO THE HELL GIVES HIS WICKET TO TAHIR?
 
Don't see us winning this if another wicket falls in the next 5 overs
 
So...we've got Misbah and YK instead of U. Akmal, an exciting young batsman striking at 80+.

At least Misbah managed to strike at 64 or so before he got out, which is decent for him lately.

Hard to imagine any other country keeping him on as ODI captain.

Remember the T20 world cup... i had high hopes after that 96 and then bam he threw them down.

Kamran always plays well in the warm up matches, Reminds me of the warm up match where he made century against India, It was a T20 WC warmup or ODI WC warmup where we defeated India, and when it came to the real match he became a noob with the bat.

Are you predicting that your favorite Misbah is going to be top scorer or something in this ODI series? Your hero Misbah hasn't even scored a century in ODI cricket. At least Kamran has 5.

Also you were one of the ones pointing out that Kamran also took his time to get off the mark and that no one else was blaming him for it.

And I simply pointed out that his career s/r was the reason why....because he doesn't screw around when he's batting....he'll up the tempo or get out. Hence his high career s/r. And yes, I'd take Kamran in the ODI team any day over the Misbah of the last 2 years.

Kami Plyed his part.. But Umpires and Bowlers didn't allow him to continue.......Soo Sad...:P
 
Afridi has great opportunity to get back into form.

Situation is ideal for him. Jeeja ji should be able to support him well.

No just as big a failure.

If you ask me , we can get rid of lots of players in the team.

Doesn't hide the fact that Akmal brothers do a botched job when it comes to chasing anything substantial

And wilt at the slightest hint of pressure.


Misbah is not my hero by the way : )

Calm down.... your kamran akmal recently has not made a score to have a strike rate... To be honest i would not have both of them in the team...... Seeing the recent T20 kamran does not look in any form.... This practice match counts for nothing .... if he performs in ODI then good but to be frank i dont see him performing .... i want too bcz since he is in the team he should perform.....

Never forget the T20 world cup 2012 warm up match he makes 96 on fire and then he completely dragged his bat down.

But.. the only thing good about malik and Afridi i that IF they are at the crease then they would rotate the strike wonderfully..
 
Afridi should not lose this opportunity to show he can still bat. Hope he avoids the brain fart.

RR is only 5.5 and can be done if do not get bowled out.

just curious what is our lowest ODI score... bcz i think we will break that record too.
 
Pakistan always performs better in warm up matches than they do in the real upcoming match, Oh God this is scary..
 
Here's the thing.

One of the all round spots is up for grabs.

Maybe these both will do well and get Pakistan home because both want that spot.

So that should be positive energy.

Calm down? Am I making you uncomfortable or something? If so, then maybe you need to calm down a bit. If not, then you should kick back and enjoy any (potentially) heated discussions.

As far as your post, Kamran Akmal is a decent cricketer, and one I'd pick ahead of Misbah in LOI games, but he's not "my" Kamran Akmal. If you're going to call any of the Akmal brothers "mine" then you can call U. akmal "mine". He's a very good cricketer imo and one I'd like to see in all formats of the game.
