Random Aussie said:This is lazy captaincy from Kumble, Harby has bowled 20 overs straight.
Plan A: Bowl quicks for 5 overs each, spin for 20 overs each, repeat.
Plan B : Bowl spinners all day to defensive field

You are still fighting back from 1 nil down against a team you were supposed to beat comfortably.![]()

Dhonifan said:hey the match is still going on I discover!!
Go India, get one more wkt at least today!!
buntylover_2000 said:Sehwag has turned the game tilt towards india.Though the pitch was easier at that time. But still a wonderful innings from him.But personaly i like yuvi in indian team. His timing is really good.
buntylover_2000 said:Momo its not over until mahela is there.
you're right, although IMO it's more advantage SL than India.Momo said:No no, I meant the second day was over. Not the match.
The match is pretty interesting and while India are in front, it's definitely not over considering the form in which the Indian batsmen are and a certain Murali licking his lips to bowl on a spinning wicket.
However, all thinsg considered, India have an advantage at this point.
Random Aussie said:Lol this Karthik is the second best wicket keeper in India?
Can he bat? Not on current evidence
Can he keep? Not on current evidence
What the hell is he doing in the side? He is like Kamran Akmal without the batting.

Yes, if they get anything like a 70 runs lead, it will be easier for them to set Srilanka a target of 250, and that will be curtains for Lanka. That is why it is imperative that Lanka overhaul the first innings Indian score (even though they will still be at a disadvantage because of having to bat last).buntylover_2000 said:I think 250 can be a wining total if indians will be able to set that target.
Mahela is the key wicket here if they get him out early 2morrow morning then they can easily get the lead of atleast 70-80 runs and will put SL under huge pressure.
OZGOD said:He's pretty useless. Where's that baby face keeper that played against OZ in 2003? This bloke?

Rickz said:A first innings lead for India will be very, very crucial. If Sri Lanka can obtain a lead, all the better for them. A lead is very important for both sides.
Momo said:True, but much more crucial for Srilanka than India. India will take a zero-zero situation when the second inning begins. Lanka needs to get a first innings lead (which is very unlikely) in order to compensate for the disadvantage of having to bat last.

Swaraj!! said:As of now, the only proper "Batsmen" failing to read Mendis and Murali are Dravid, Ganguly and Karthik. So, it would be wise to forget any possible contribution that they might make in the 2nd innings.
bablu_khan said:kingusa, i think you are the biggest blind person ever if you think dravid cheated that. it was so close that the third umpire who was watching the clip in the slowest motion possible, took about 5-8 minutes to make that decision. it was so bloody close.
bablu_khan said:okay then if it was so clear then why did umpire took so much time. i mean the ball landed on his fangers and the other half of the ball was touching the ground. that was pretty close and the fielder doesn't really know himself. and the appeal wasn't also so confident and dravid himself wasn't excited by it. if he wanted to cheat, he would have shown some excitement.
he knew it can be out and can be not out also, hence he stayed calm and waited for umpire to check it

RA that catch was clean. i dont think it touched the ground, though it looked as if it had. but if you see it closely you can see Dravid's hand goes under the ball in one fluid movement.Random Aussie said:If an Australian player had done that it would have clearly been cheating.
Double standards anyone?

He's so dull and one trackRandom Aussie said:74 overs bowled and 60 of them bowled by 2 spinners. Zaheer Khan (allegedly the spearhead of the Indian attack) has bowled 6 overs.![]()
This captain makes South African tactics look imaginative.

Harby takes 5 but on the feed I am watching his action is looking slightly dubious.
Was it given out Dhonifan? Matters not, if it was an Aussie claiming that catch, whether given out or not, Indians would be howling cheat! cheat! cheat!
Never mind explaining. Cheating it was.Dhonifan said:RA, you got to see the context of that 'cheat cheat cheat!'
That came after Bucknor robbed us and left us feeling helpless as a newborn babe. No review, no 3rd umpire. Today there was both. in fact you can't compare the two because one was a judgement and the second was a request, duly turned down. We wouldnt mind if Clarke claimed a catch every over, just as long as it went upstairs.
