Don't know about anyone else but Harby is fair throwing the ball here

Guess he is in Sri Lanka though

Now that is some whining. :14: :14:

It was just something I noticed.

But yes whatever I am whining. Silly me for thinking I might get an informed response from the cheerleaders.

Sri Lanka 293 all out and India have got a lead of 37.

India need to the Old 4 to score some runs here and this match should be theirs.

Lanka's batsmen got starts but didn't go on with it.

First over: 1 ball reaches the keeperon a 2nd bounce. The rest with healthy carry.

India 16/0 in the 5th over. Hopefully Sehwag can retain his form and the big 4 to score some runs.

Gambhir/Sehwag>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jaffer/Dravid

Gambhir looks pretty settled as a Test batsman so good for India

I would agree to that. The Jaffer/Dravid combo looks very timid.

Makes such a difference to have attacking batsmen opening in Tests, if the opposition are not switched on all of a sudden you are 0/50 before they wake up.

True mate.

India is now 75/0 after 15. RR is 5 an over!

Mendis being hidden from Sehwag. If he gets out, I am sure he will be on right away

Really wouldnt be a bad idea to play this innings like a 20-20. Only thing that scares me is Sangakkara. He has a way of putting his hand up when the chips are down.

Mendis is on. Will be intresting if Sehwag and Gambhir decides to counter attack him. No need really that India are doing well.

when did jaffer/dravid open together consistently other then that very game in australia?

usually jaffer opened with karthik or with sehwag in few games.

also dravid opeend in few games with sehwag and thats it.

but offcourse, gambhir/sehwag = better then dravid/jaffer if they try to open lol

Just have picked up a little from posts on here gadha :D

To the point about openers, the reason I used Dravid/Jaffer as example was there were times in the Aussie tour where they had seen off 10 overs but the score was 0/17. That is almost pointless IMO

Sehwag out! Sri Lanka have glimmer of hope now....

yaa got it, haha.

yep sehwag goes and here goes Indian run rate which was climbing high over by over..

now the onus on Indian batsman starts

remember o3-o4 melbourne
sehwag-chopra 21 ovs 34 runs :D :))) :))) :))) :)))

Gee Kumble put the jinx on Dravid before this series re Mendis:

"Rahul will play him straight no problems"

Rahul has zero clue what Mendis is bowling. Although is scoring at 50 s/r so the 20/20 theme continues....

What happened to Chopra? He was better than Jaffer at least.
He was just dropped after "poor" performance vs pakistan. He is by far one of indias best fielder. Still remember that awesome catch by him vs langer on a no ball. Our brainless selectors are morons.

i heard he scored over 1000 runs in last year's season. was likely to replace jaffer but then gambhir too scored over 1000 runs in domestic cricket, and you know what, both Gambhir and chopra play for delhi haha and open together, sehwag does too, they keep switching between them

India 121/1 with a lead of 158 at tea. They have got the advantage so far.

so far yes, but this mendis guy can change the game anytime and also murali, it's a funny game, in next 60 runs India can get all out too you never know

gambhir and dravid need to stay and play cautiously

Gambhir and Dravid playing very well, hitting some lovely shots. India 139/1 with a lead of 176.

Mendis strikes, Gambhir gone for a well made 74. India 144/2 with a lead of 181. In comes Tendulkar.

India most likely are gonna win this. Thanks to Sehwag.

Waqar about Dravid (after he faced 40+ balls):

"Not really new at the crease, But he looks like one" :))

After arun lal said there are two new batsmen at the crease

Yep, he's one man who really can make the difference!

I've got to say this is great krikeet. Two quality spinners bowling to two quality batsmen who're looking to take them on on a wearing pitch and with the match on a knife edge.

my Murali is bowling around the wicket to Tendulkar all the time? a huge turner like him should come over the wicket..

Commentator: "more than 2 KILOmeters, 2.5 KILOmeters from the stumps" :))

Dhonifan said:
how many do we need to win? I think 400 should be enough
I would go for 450.

U never know with these Lanka batsmen at home... positive for IND is that its only day 3, and the IND spinners managed to take almost all wickets.

Hmm. Dravid just judged LBW. After a review

I dont like Dravid, which is fine but that decision was pathetic umpires really hate the Indianssss...

Ah poor Indians, everyone hates them :P

j/k :P

Actually, that Dravid decision seemed pretty OUT to me in real-time, dont know what the umpire thought... maybe a edge?

:)) hilarious

450 is going to be too tough from here. frankly, now even 400 seems tough, with wkts falling in a heap.

The review system has really favoured the Sri Lankans so far in this series. All the members promoting fairness on the basis of the review system should see that technology in the hands of incompetent and biased umpires still leads to terrible decisions, potentially match changing ones.

That's three (at least) against India now; Dilshan (should have been out caught), Sehwag (wrongly adjudged LBW) and Dravid (wrongly adjudged LBW).

It's not even a hard job for goodness' sake. You look at the video and make the decision as you would ordinarliy as an Umpire. Batsmen still do deserve the benefit of the doubt it there's an awful lot of guesswork. Once again I stress that this review system is rubbish, especially whilst poor umpires are the ones judging.

Oh please ganguly please make another duck pleaseeeeeeee.... Irfan has to replace Ganguly then this team will be a well balanced unit with the openers now looking solid and well set..

Well the umpires def do, just when I thought we could halt the crusaders now it feels like reality check all over again we are still getting pumped :po: ..Makes me kind of wonder if Symonds would have been given out had the decision in Sydney against him during that crucial phase in the match be referred ?

Laxman might make a big score here. He is one of the batsmen who looked good in this series, but still didnt manage to get a big score.

Lets hope he does now..... And ofcourse u also have Ganga, but u never know about him.... hasnt score anything big since he played PAK

What u guys need, is some Indian umpires :)

With so much cricket being played in IND, BCCI should promote umpiring. If u can get 2-3 indian umpires in the elite panel...

But i think even that wont happen, cause the ICC hates Indians too much so they will never allow them to get into elite panel :P

India take bad light.

Two quick wickets have put Sri Lanka back into the game. 400 seems kilometers away now.
