For the most part BCCI couldnt giva damn how team India perform, occasionally they will throw the weight behind the team like if it is ridiculously unfair like in Sydney, Mike Dennese incident etc.. Otherwise BCCI couldnt givaa flying damnnnnn, it is all about the money they are making off team India...Us Indian fans and the players have to bear all the frustration for all these umpiring decisions ....

3rd umpire is blatantly trying to make Lanka win :po:

He didnt give a runout when bat was clearly on the line and not over it. What ICC should do is appoint neutral umpires for review system.

India easily have the upperhand here. They get a lead of 300, and the deal is sealed.

Can someone tell my why Cricbuzz thinks Sri Lanka has the major upperhand and India have their "noses marginally" in the game?

I would like to think its 70-30, India.

:)) :)) No wonder, I didnt know till you confirmed, now it is all adding up.....Would be a shame if Sri Lanka lose this test match or series with so much home made umpiring help.. Ahhhhh feels like the the good ol days during the 99 India tour of Aus....

Cricbuzz means Sri-Lanka has a 3rd umpire playing for them hence major advantage :) ..
 
The delivery of mendis from which he got Gambhir had turned really big.

Clearly Gambhir (and i also) wasnt expecting that...

He is only there because the 3rd umpire (Koertzen) is not feeling well i think... Koertzen was 3rd ump. first day (and maybe 2nd).

Note sure though, ull have to look it up.

If he really was sick, then they can nothing do i think. They cant fly over some other umpire i think....

But this might be South-African plot against India.....

Why don't you all accept that umpires are human and they make mistakes and that is part of the game? No they must all be biased against India eh?

Yourself being a narrow minded Australian, you won't understand the politics with our neighbours. They will do whatever to shame India in any way. These are tactics from years to bring India down. On the other hand in the cricketing world, all countries don't like India having the power it has today so I can understand their frustration.

But neverthless, I as Indian fan was happy with the Dravid decision, in fact all decisions through this review system. I would never complain because umpires are all human and errors can occur.

Even when we're asked to umpire our local league games, I myself give my own team mates OUT when they're out. You have to play the game in an honest way. People have to accept whatever decision is given and move on.

I would say India are 90-10 favourites now. They should go on and win this game now. They have the game in the bag and if they dont win it, some heads will have to fall.

They already have 237. 250 is a winning total on this pitch. Even if they play badly and get only a further 63 runs before gwtting out (which is unlikely), they will have posted 300 and it will be beyond Lanka in the fourth innings.

I think tha match is sealed and India need to thank Sehwag big time here. Bhajji bowled well but I think scoring 329 (mainly due to Sehwag) was the most important factor for this match and Sehwag did it single-handedly.

You never spoke a truer word, weed. If only the Indian players can understand it and stop throwing oscar-winning whining performances when given out all the way back to the pavilion! :)

Mistakes around 95 % times against India ? must be just a coincidence :)), I think not. However the fact that a dodgy Lankan is the 3rd umpire just about summs things up as far as umpiring decision goes considering it is his home side that is on the field :) ...

Good fightback by Lanka towards the end but I fear this game is already out of Lanka's reach. Hopefully that will be proven wrong tomorrow, but 250-300 on this pitch on day 4 will be quite something.

Murali hasn't been much good in this game. With so much assistance available - he should have picked up more wickets.

I agree about the Sehwag innings but Murali's ineffectiveness is also a reason.
 
Sri Lanka should prepare a seaming pitch for the final Test.

The Indian batsmen are starting to play Mendis and Murali better after three consecutive innings of struggle (Sehwag apart). Harbhajan is also finding form, so it is dangerous to prepare a turning pitch again.

Chaminda Vaas is miles better than India's medium pacers and they are struggling against him.

Of course this will not matter if they can pull off a victory here, but to be honest I don't see it happening. 250+ on this pitch in the fourth innings is too many.

On seaming pitches in Aus, about 3 months ago, our bowlers owned their batsmen while their bowlers vouldnt do much to ours!
 
Sri Lanka still have a chance if they can restrict India to under 300. Also assuming their batsmen will fire. This partnership by India will decide the fate of this match. If Ganguly and Laxman go early, Sri Lanka have chance. If Ganguly and Laxman notch up a partnership of more than 60, the game is preety much gone for Sri Lanka on this pitch.

well both batsman are on 0 ... so it's anyones game... if these two get out under 10 then India could be in serious trouble..

yup, I'd be happy with another 100 runs.

Gangu and Lax better get going and score quickly. Weather looks bad, it can rain and wash out hours of play, and we dont want a situation where lanka has saved the match by 1 wkt.

Good stuff from SL this morning but I fear this game is already out of their grasp. The pitch is really starting to fizz today.

Sri Lanka need 307 runs to win the series.

India lost their last eight wickets for 69 runs and their last five wickets for 17 runs.
 
IND should still win this thing. I am sure Kumble will do well this time around but not too sure about the rest

Oh India are definitely favorites from here but SL still have a chance now, especially if Sanga or Mahela makes a hundred.

0.2 Zaheer to Vandort, FOUR!!, similar delivery, Vandort chases it again, outside edge runs it down to third man, Rahul Dravid at 3rd slip plucks his right hand, the ball hits his palm and goes all the way, that is a catch dropped!!
 
should be an easy win for INdia... if they give it away from here wow SL deserve it then..
 
My ultimate scenario; India win this, both Ganguly & Karthik dropped for next test replaced by Patel & Irfan.....
