I blame you for bad mouthing Afridi. there are still almost 2 days left now we need to bowl better and offcourse feild as well. Inshallah We gonna win this.
 
Lead of 83, I would have liked another few dozen but its a decent lead. Bat for the rest of the day and Pakistan would be under pressure on the last day.
 
Harmison to Mohammad Yousuf, OUT, got him, and that’s the end. Yousuf edges this straight to Jones bringing the end to a quite brilliant innings. The crowd are on their feet, every England player applauding him and patting him on the back.

Thats the spirit. Good hosts England.

I am not a Dhoni fan, but didn't critisize the dismissal. Everyone laughed though

Well shouldnt you be laughing at Afridi as well, otherwise surely this would be double standards, as both were as retarded a dismissal as has been seen this season in test matches.

Every thing has happened nothing happening at the moment Pak ended the day at 445 and Yousaf got his 200
 
Disappointed in Hoggard but as I said before he's very short of bowling.

Yousuf looks as good as always and Inzi's clearly still a huge menace even if I do think he's just started to decline a little. Akmal has tons of talent but needs the experience to match it. The less said about Afridi's knock the better...

Not a bad knock by Afridi, he looked in great pain after the blow he took to his thumb. We might not see him bowl today! 17 off 20 with an injury is not a bad effort. First time I saw Afridi in pain was today!

Wippy comparing Afridi dismissal to Dhoni's is like comparing water with fire. Dhoni got dropped of the same shot 2-3 ball before he got out. Ironically he was caught by the same fielder. But Afridi got caught once and that to with an injured right hand.
 
If Gul can get his line right, he might be able to cause some difficulties with the new ball
 
again short and at leg stump (help your self delivery) easily helped on its way down to fine leg.

More crap to defend Afridi eh :P Afridi could have atleast gotten 3 or 4 times before he eventually got out so a catch drop is nothing its the chances you get.

That wouldnt be so bad as Pak chasing 320 on the last day would keep them interested, as opposed to chasing 420 which would mean they blocked all day. Theres more of a chance of taking 10 wkts when the chase is on, I'd take 245 if it was offered now because it would be a calculated risk. Risks are required to win tests.

I can't believe pakistan's innings folding up this way and only one man to blame quite fairly but we can't do anything about what's happened. What we can do is plan for what can or should happen in pakistan's favour. England have a lead of 83 and are coming out to bat in their secind innings. Pakistan must grab quick 4 to 6 wickets before england get to 100 runs ( 183 runs lead total approx) to put england under immense pressure. Must not allow any partnerships to develop. INSHALLAH sami, gul, razzak, kaneria and afridi will fire away. :19:
 
Umar Gul really needs to fix his no ball problem, or else ODIs will be huge problem

I wonder how the pitch will play at Old Trafford. If it's anything like the one we saw in the 20/20's then the likes of Akaml and Afridi might get some much needed experience against short pitch bowling.
