Looking good a fair few hard nuts in that line-up :))

ElRaja is such a party pooper that's three times now he has blatantly run over chow's dignity with a pogo stick.

it shallnt happen again, dont think we have overlap for players we need now. if anything u can exact revenge now.

Okies then Chow Corner's next couple of picks

David Angus Warner (Dec 1, 2011) & Quilton de Kock (Feb 20, 2014)

There's no coming back for chow now well played boss! :))

Whose turn? I have 9 players and I see some teams with 10..
ElRaja then me. maddgenius took his 10th pick since no one else can pick YK before his turn anyway.

my next pick is pretty much dictated by my open positions, dry pitch specialist, usefull lower order batsmen and sunil narine tribute act, ravi ashwin - 2011, after VK tho, so he eligible.

Messed up a bit by skipping Kumble but Herath would do fine in Asia I reckon. Don't need to worry about his record in SENA in presence of such a pace quartet. This team would be competing for the third spot though :afaq

Mo I think you owe me a bowler preferably someone 6ft 7ins in height and of West Indian origin.

Chow was this close to nabbing McGrath/Donald and Steyn. This close ….

Abdullah719 I think your turn bro.

Herath is a one man wrecking ball. Might be short and phatt but his tiny cheeto laden fingers have the power to unleash unimaginable levels of natural variation. He wasn't named after a greek god for nothing.

There are a fair few top line-ups on here actually gonna be a hard one to call.

One thing for sure tho I think we need to kick Ab Fan out. Who else is with chow.

Forward Defensive Push I think is up next.

Have a gut feeling that it might be another Test cricketer.

Alright I'm going to strengthen my batting by bringing more solidity next.

Welcome New Zealand's second greatest batsman (on his way to 1st) Kane Williamson!

Chow, as per the looks of things, we all are eyeing for 2nd spot :)).

But still interested in your third pacer. Let's see who is the next GOAT coming up in chow's lineup.

Hopefully, from 1877 :yk

After much thought, I have my next pick. Easily the most threatening bowler of this generation and I'm sure would be a great accomplice to Trueman, Garner and Procter. Welcome Mitchell Starc!

He bowls to the left, he bowls to the right...

Mitchell Johnson

This pick probably ensures that I am squarely in the running for the wooden spoon, but on the off-chance he does get it right, even the most vaunted batting line-ups would be caught on the hop. I could have picked a staid and steady bowler, but life is nothing without some degree of impulsive risk.

He did had a 12 months performance, which was arguably Lillee-sque.

Not you :mv

Rest of us are competing for the third spot though :afaq

Chow still needs another opener too in addition to the third pacer so it's tricky for him now :inti

I was berated in the test cap draft when I picked Johnson!

I think you are talking about the draft in which we had to make our XI with total count not more than 700 tests. MJ played 73 tests which ain't too many, it makes complete sense for me to pick someone like Mitchell Johnson. A great left arm fast bowler, not ATG though.

Moh@n looks a serious contender as well.

Up next.

Exactly. Johnson had an amazing 12 month peak.

this is going fairly quick now, hopefully we can have this finished today

Alright then. The results are finally out for the poll conducted on PP for the best wicket keeper batsmen :))

Prioritizing the popular opinion, I pick Bradley-John Watling as my wicket-keeper. Excellent keeper against pace and good Vs spin but also a good batsmen.

There were two other front runners but feel they will be more suitable for critics award and not really a popular choice.

BJ Watling it is.

ElRaja, also send your picks to mods or whoever will be around so that we don't have to wait long.

Looks like the thread came in handy, thanks for taking my advice :afridi

No, obviously not a great of the game by any stretch of the imagination. I debated the merits of picking folks like Rabada, Boult, Broad et al, but none of them have had the peak that Johnson reached in 13/14. I was hamstrung with picking bowlers here, obviously left it too late, so figured it's better to take a risk on potential with Johnson.

ElRaja up next.

I have picked BJ Watling.

Thunderbolt14, you can make your pick as well if it is before 2011. There are a few quality fast bowlers still left, one of them a lion-hearted all-rounder and the other one a great commentator as well.
