Third Test match between England and Pakistan ends in a draw as England win series 1-0

Fawad has been mistreated, but he has also never performed at the right moment. In other words, the timing of his performances across both Tests and ODIs have not been ideal.

Yeah. By his standard, he has been slightly disappointing. But, he still averaged well.

He has underperformed with his batting to be fair. Although i dont think this series has truly been a good measure of his ability at international level.
 
When umpire going to signal last hour? and can England bowl more than these alloted 15 overs remaining?
 
Wasim Akram must be laughing inwardly, to have your feet up for 2 tests and get paid for really short commentary stints!
 
Azhar Ali at the post match conference will be like. First of all I would like to thank rain.
 
Someone like Anderson should have got 600 by clean bowling someone, not by the batsmen playing at a ball he should of left alone!
 
How much money does a Sky commentator earn? I guess 40k pounds per series?
 
Weird from England, they really underestimated out tail, we could have easily got blasted inside these last 15 overs. can't believe.
 
Congratulations to Pakistan on fluking a 1-0 defeat. This could and should have been 3-0 to England.

Even then he has been woeful. Perfected the art of just saying the friggin obvious. For a truly great player he never seems to say anything original.

Congrats Pakistan for holding out for a draw. That is the last you will see if Anderson at least.

So, England take the series 1-0.

Pakistan could've won it 1-0 if not for that Butler-Woakes partnership. One partnership turned out to be decisive.
 
So it is dangerous to high five your teammates after taking a wicket but shaking hands with the opposition after the game is not a problem.

End of a pathetic series for the rain. ICC has to do something on rain - this series has been a poor advertisement for Test cricket.

Another test series in England with a lot of what iffs, in 2016 if we could hold on to draw that edgbeston test, and here that first match, then both those series pak could have and should have won, specially in 2016, but still not the worst outcome, congrats Poms for 0-1.
 
To be fair, alot of people expected Pakistan team to be rolled over including myself but credit to them, they have player well over all during the series. I reckon Pakistan won majority of the session over the 3 Tests but England won some crucial sessions which decided the series.

To be fair, India have played most of their recent games at home. I think India are #3 or #4.

Aussies are the true #1 currently. They are dominant at home and can compete away (2-2 in England and 1-2 in India).

strictly speaking from a scoreline perspective a 1-0 loss does more to enhance our reputation. When England tour, we are likely to beat then 2-0. If you look at the last 5 years we have drawn our away series and won our home series without dropping a test. From a head to head perspective, it would not be 'left field' to say we are a better team.

sure they busted the myth about our much taunted pace attack, but only fools were hyping such an attack. Anderson himself averaged in the high thirties for his first few years, so its no big deal if the hype around our bowlers got busted
 
This would have been a great series if not for rain.

First test went down the wire...
Second would have most likely too...

This game would have been one sided though
 
Hopefully this is the last we see of Shafiq. An injured Haris Sohail is better than him.

Agree. I think we're #3 at the moment.

Australia and New Zealand are better than us. Most likely they'll face off in the WTC final at Lords and deservingly so.

As soon as this thing was dreamt of there was only going to be 1 of 3 winners, England, India and Australia and maybe a outside bet of New Zealand, it’s not a fair playing field outside of these countries
