I can safely say pakistan have lost the match after this first sessions
No, after the toss. I said that after Old Traford toss as well.
Aussie running away with the game.
yaar, you made similar statements in the last test match that Pak will win. do you really follow the game? or do you just try to be patriotic?
BTW, what happened to Sher Khan?Is he injured?
This attack is a lot like the Imran-less one in Australia in 83-84.
But the thing is 3/4 of this attack could be adequate (Amir, Wahab, Yasir) if used in short bursts with attacking fields while bowlers with mastery of line and length blocked the other end.
But Misbah has converted those assets into liabilities. Those three bowlers should have a 7-2 field, not a 4-5 or 3-6.
I actually agree, but Yasir Shah was always going to go the Abdul Qadir 83-84 way once the armada of left-handers was assembled. If three of your four bowlers need to be used in short bursts the attack is unbalanced and needs changes.
If your spinner needs to be used in short bursts get a new spinner

No, 126 runs in 27 overs - a session has different meaning in Cricket; during Bradman's time 150 overs were bowled in a day (& Cyborg Larwood could bowl at 161KM/hour in his 35th over of the day); Lloyd found that instead of sweating for 96 overs in 6 hours, it's better that his 4 boys can take things comfortably & do that job in 72 overs ..... that means 23 overs in first session.
Careful now.
Wait for people to laugh at you for claiming that Larwood was close to 161 km/h.
According to people only Tendu faced any quality bowlers while everyone else in pre Tendu era sucked.
People made fun of Indian bowlers saying they can't match Pak bowling. Now look. We are equal. The problem is that we dint progress and got to Pak level , they regressed and came down to our level.
Anything that helps him drive his sad, useless, and pathetic agenda for Asif the revolutionary savior.
It may be fun to listen to the Australian commies ..... but Bill Lowry. as a Captain was real nasty. Let me describe an incident ... I was there. It was Australian Tour of India '69-'70. A Test Match at Feroz Shah Kotla. Lowry predicted that if they win the Toss, match will be over in 3.5 days .... OK. They did win the the Toss and opted to bat. He opened the inning with Keith Stackpole. During one of the First few overs the Indian fast bowler, it was Ramakant Desai I think, simply dropped the ball out of his hand on the run up to Stackpole and tried to pick it up ..... Roared Bill Lowery instantly and told the bowler not to touch the ball. Then invited Stackpole to hit it whereever he wanted. Stackpole surveyed the field and hit the motionless ball for a Four. What an *** !!!!! And yessss match was over in 3.5 days ...... Australians LOST !!!!!
He actually makes a valid point even though it gets annoying. Seriously could have used Asif. Even in dead wicket like this he would've generated seam movement. Inzamam is showing some pathetic selection!
How was speed measured then?

Meanwhile the battle for the next captain is underway on the field.

Hey that was a genuine question . How did he authentically say Larwood was clocking 161 kph?I dont particularly care if Larwood was 160 or 130 km/h looking 160.
Its the ridiculous counter argument to elevate Tendulkar to higher than Bradman based on how people looked in those days that's funny.
While we are on topic, prove he wasn't.
Ill humor you.
I have a question for you. What is your opinion on Sami being dropped ? I know your opinion on Babar . Is it similar to Sami?Pakistan is on par with West Indies as the 8th best Test team in the world. We are awful.

Look post above, he explained it.

That body line footage made me lough - even Saqline & Kumble handled Donald & Ambi better than that.
Don't think Pakistan will be able to displace either of the openers today.
He wasn't![]()
No human can bowl at that pace for such long period - you missed the cyborg note. In fact, if you ask me, I give a damn on cricket played before 70s - amateurs playing a soft game. It was 1970s that started the modern era of cricket, or may be late 60s at earliest, before that, it was a gentleman's pass time.
You'll be surprised to know that the science of swing (why ball swings) was explained first by couple of physicist in 1968. I have seen the fastest of Larwood & Tyson's spells in old footage - based on the position of WK & Slips, I doubt if ever they reached 140KM................... It's both. we progressed, they regressed.
Out of steam, he is perfectly fit for 7-10 overs in a Day.
Uncovered pitches with no helmets or chest and arm protection
Have we progressed ? Umesh & Ishant both are regulars but avg. 36+. Shami is our best bowler but avg 33+ & it is clear he's a old man & is injury prone.
Contrast this to a few years ago when we had Zak & IK who avg. round about 30.
Wahab the enforcer. He gets so much smack compared to the over rated non performing Amir.
who's IK? we're marginally better in quality but we are much improved in bench strength. bhuvi's in the mix too. this means when we are abroad and one player goes down, we have options. before, as soon as zaheer was injured, we were in trouble.
Astagfirrulah![]()
it is just one good spell here and there by wahab and he has just taken one wicket. so nothing impactful to be honest wit you.
and this is what wahab does. one good spell in a while and that is it. has he ever run through a batting line up and gave usn a chance to win except his first test match. N0
so lets not kid ourselevs. he needs to take 5 or 6 wickets for some real impact and win some real repect.
aloo paratha nowhere to be seen. Pehla banda ayhi ae line vich.
Ishant Kumar !!
i think you guys are making up players now...
Wasn't posting for a long time lol, wasn't in the country, just got back an hour ago.
He really is an Akmal!and we dropped khawaja now............tough chance but catchable
