Eng v Pak: 2nd Test: Day 2 [Update Thread]

Cook gone! Great news, looked out and Bucknor gives it. Umar Gul strikes again.

Its a pity I could'nt change my fantasy team.

What kind of lead would England need to make it very difficult for us to win it?

about time, we need to get them out below 350...to even have a chance of saving this test match, i think it's too late already though.

Hmm, I didn't call it as out.

Still, Pakistan need luck on their side at the moment.

400 would make it impossible
350 the same
300 is still hard, but maybe possible
250 under we have all the chances in the world

92.4 Sami to Bell, FOUR!!, pitched up on the pads, Bell flicks it to deep mid wicket, beautiful shot with a lot of Hyderabadi flavour

what crap cricbuzz are writing!!

Man Sami whats wrong, hes bowling so full. Even I am starting to hate him now...

Hah, that was a cricket shot, not chicken 65!

Pakistan might bat today!

I'd be surprised if they didn't! After Jones I'd be surprised if England made more than another 35 runs.

Pakistan could well find themselves "only" 220 or so runs behind.

Knowing Pakistan, they can make mediocre batsman look world class.

Shoaib Akhtar is in the nets at the Stretford End, and how Pakistan could do with him. On this evidence, Sami would be the one to make way

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.......................................................

yeah
Mohammad Sami to Jones, SIX

Don’t expect wickets to fall in the next hour. So far, Andrew has grabbed 13 while he has been commentating, while I have managed a paltry two. If only he was anywhere nearly that effective when given the new ball …

gojo out lbw sami :))
And that would be the biggest insult to Jones.
Oh well, Im happy. Sami takes his second which means Pakistan is better off for now and so is my Fantasy team

Well come on Sami, heres your chance for a hat-trick...

let end this soon PLEASE!!!!

After wicket, Inzi just had his head down. Younis seemed ecstatic.

tsktsktsk

Ian Bell is now gonna do what Mohd Yousuf did when he was playing with tails

I dont understand how commentators can say its nicely played when he hasn't played it!

A few score updates apart from 'YESSSSSSS' etc - for those of us not watching.........

Expect him to take a wicket in the 2nd innings and that too once he concedes atleast 100 runs.

96.4 Mohammad Sami to Bell, FOUR, Beautiful drive off the back foot through the covers. He stood up on his toes and cracked that with real conviction
96.3 Mohammad Sami to Bell, no run
96.2 Mohammad Sami to Bell, no run, solidly played to mid on
96.1 Mohammad Sami to Bell, no run
After that last over Bell will be looking to take the lion's share of the strike

I am going to have to behave. My wife has just called to say she is reading the commentary:)):)):))
These guys are funny

Sajid Mahmood has two boundaries to his name now :(

That interview with Akhtar was a little refreshing

It’s that stage of the afternoon where it’s all a bit sleepy. The crowd are either slumbering in the heat or just beginning to stir after digesting lunch. The alcohol has not began to kick in … about an hour from the first Mexican wave:P

Its officially over for Pak
England 340/6 (99.3 ov)
England lead by 221 runs with 4 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Umar Gul to Bell, 1 run, Bell drops the ball into the pitch and although it goes no more than two or three yards into the off side, they amble through for an easy single

Dam agrrrrrr

Another example how badly we need Shoaib. Who cares if he is match fit or not, he cant be worse than these guys!

Lead of 224 :O We are just completely out of it now. 3 full days to go, England will be looking for a 300+ lead. I feel like crying :6:
