What's new

England v Pakistan | 1st Test | Lord's | Jul 14-18, 2016 | Day 1

Lol........Haven't you been following cricket for like 50 years......Doesn't take a lot to impress you does it :)))

Don't expose your knowledge limitation regarding driving "on the rise". We are not talking about knee height half-vollies at 125km.

Well done to misbah for getting a 50. Moen will have to bowl soon Cook can't hide him forever.

Unless Cook wants to be hauled in front of the match referee, he surely has to bring on Moeen or a part-timer like Root to get through the overs.

Show me those tall muscular players in todays Pak lineup bro?

Wahab, YK and Misbah are over 6feet. The rest like Hafeez, Azhar, Asad, Safraz are all no better than your average Joes in India.

Sohail Khan is 6ft 4. Rahat Ali is 6 ft 2. Muhammad Amir is around 6ft. Azhar Ali is 5ft 10 and looks ripped these days. Sarfaraz 5ft 10. Shan Masood is around 6ft. Only Asad Shafiq and Yasir are shorter players in the team

It's a GPS device, so the coaching staff can monitor how much distance players have covered. Football and rugby players use them as well, some of them can track things like heart rate as well so they can stay on top of player fitness and workload.

I see. Thanks.

That's what I'm waiting for. It's now or never he's too far behind.

Shafiq is a supreme talent....I think this tour is going to be the making of Shafiq......The Magnificent 7 .Kohli,Warner,Smith,Root,Williamson,ABDV and Shafiq

A close friend of mine has batted with Shafiq being his batting partner. He told me that he felt completely at ease when a batsman of Shafiq's quality was at the other end.

Dude, you're seriously embarrassing yourself.

I hope you understand surviving in a hell in the cell match is not a prerequisite to succeeding in cricket.

No hopping at the crease, no every other delivery hitting the pads.

Shafiq showing how you defend against pace.

If you watch him bat for a period of time you can see how true that is.

Some people took the tour games a bit too seriously :))) Misbah was never out of touch, remains a world class Test batsman that every team wish they had.

Nick Knight was a huge favourite of mine as a kid. Dunno why haha

Good to see him

Feeling sorry for those who wanted Misbah to fail and Younis to succeed.

He scored 2 back to back 100's against Pak in ODI's which was rare those days......same reason we think Malik or Nasir Jamshed are good players :)

I hope Cook doesn't over bowl his pacers and they start limping. Will give the English a good "bahana" when we pummel them

Azhar Ali is Ripped :)))

Sarfarz is 5'10? :))

Okay sir.

Bowlers are usually tall no matter which country you take. Even India produced several bowlers who are well over 6ft tall.

And he has already outscored the youngsta beauties.

Legend.

Doing well to survive and score - Kohli couldn't score this much. :misbah :p

Would love to know who these 'youngsta beauties', that you keep referring to, are. The youngest batsman in the team is Shan Masood, who is a bit less than 27, and the average age of the five batsmen in our Test team not named Misbah or Younis is still over 30.

Then again it is fashionable to peddle the myth of 'no upcoming talent in the country' nowadays, in order for certain people to justify the endless dragging out of their careers... :afridi

Azhar is actually pretty buff

I guess that is what MMHS stands for.. I bet I got atleast one right..

So, for a Muslim name, already mentioned that MMHS stands for initials of name, you are taking credit for guessing the starting M .............. Lord, save the queen, world's IQ standard has gone to this level since you ruled half of it.

Commentator on BBC says "Pakistan is an extra ordinary place to tour, really enjoyed my time there"

Enjoyed sightseeing in Peshawar and went to the Kyber Pass..

(I'm just listening to commentary and not watching the match live - because at work)

kia england main jawan nahi hain kia?? sare hi budhe baithe huye hain crowd main

Need to add atleast another 100 before the second new ball

Misbah should go on to make it a big innings.

Can't afford to throw it away. Shafiq seems to be a quality batsman.
