all those howling that it was a howler to bat first! we are going 7 rpo in the last 5 overs. We just needed to see out the early spell
 
Babar Azam has got a future and he is going to carry the burden of Pakistani batting line up on his capable broad shoulder.He is amazingly consistent so far with good technique and range of cricketing shots.

I hope that he doesn't get out after my comment.
 
If Sharjeel didn't get out then he would've feasted on so many runs
 
Sami Aslam still a good player for ODI. 1 failure with an harsh decision does not mean he is rubbish. How many time Hafeez fall on duck or less than 10s
 
Babar even with the collapse scores above SR of 100 so much other Pakistani batsmen can learn from him
 
I've become a good fan of Babar now, best batsman in our ODI squad by lightyears

Exactly, he is too young for leading such a dynamic unit. If not Azhar, MoHa should be Captain till 2021 CT; then may be Babar can be made deputy of the then 35 years old Sarfu.
 
Babar Azam seems to have all the time in the world to play hi strokes. Last Pakistani batman who I saw have that ability was Inzi...

West Indies at full strength is a high class side. Pakistan's full strength is utterly useless. We aren't even on the same stratosphere in-regards to T20s either.

It's a shame the WI Test side is so devout of quality players.
 
Lost for words watching babar play <3 The best shots I've seen a pakistan play for quite some while now

Sarfraz should open, he will provide the most utility at that position. He can play his shots and get runs easily in the power play
 
These guys utilized the power play much better than the openers Azhar and Sharjeel. Should be opening for rest of the series.

True that....the amount of hyperbole I see on this forum...:facepalm:...when Babar Azam did not perform that well in the ODI series against SRL last year most of the people were on his throat about how he is not ready...and now praising him.


It's just one match...we gave 4-5 years for Shehzad and Umar can't we just give half of that for any newcomer.
 
Sarfraz plays much better at the top order, was never a lower order slogger
 
They utilized the PP because they had aggressive intent. The other 3 just had one thing in mind, and rightly paid for it.
 
I certainly hope there's a special place in heaven reserved for anyone who has supported our LOI faction during the last couple of years. Seriously, what does one do watching games such as this...
 
To be fair Sherjeel got an absolute beauty in this match. can't expect him to survive that ball, not many left hand would

He's 21 bro. 24-25 is a good age to start captaincy. Same age as Williamson. IMO 21 is too young. Guy doesn't even have a hundred yet and you want him as captain. :inti
 
Only good thing today so far is that Azhar got out early - otherwise the score would have been 34/3 now (Azhar's batting would have forced Babar to throw his wicket)
 
Ian Botham gets another chance to moan about england taking shys at the stumps

I think you're being a little too optimistic. We'd barely touch double digits if he was still batting :))
 
Sarfraz again performing but no, Mohammad Rizwan should replace him despite failing in his previous international stint because everyone who's outside the team is always better than those in the team because our PP armchair geniuses say so.

Well I would have played Sami at 3 just to get that left and right combination going. It wasn't necessary to throw Sami right at the deep end first up. Azhar is not a no.3 and why move down when you have scored in the position already.
 
100s there for the taking for both these two today. Dig in, bat long. Plenty of time to rack up the runs.

You see guys, this is how you play ODI cricket, you have to look and try to look for runs on every ball, if it's a good ball then leave it, ALWAYS punish the bad ball
