Ha. Anderson outscoring Bairstow now. You suck Bairstow. Get out this team.

Bowled Aussie.

Batted Jimmy!

Typical England - retain the trophy and then take their feet off the gas.

Not a lot, except at the Oval (hopefully) the batting order.

What are your thoughts on that? Think we'll drop someone?

A comedy of soft dismissals today. When did our batsmen stop caring?

Cook and Trott played nicely. 350 would have been a useful team total.

The rest were village green. Genuinely as well. Some awful Sunday afternoon charity game shots.

Why not try Cook, Carberry, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Root, Prior, Broad, Swann, Tremlett, Anderson.

It would've been nice to get that last wicket, but I'm not too upset - better they go to bed tonight without having had to face 1 or 2 dodgy overs and losing a wicket which is entirely possible with this batting lineup. There will probably be a bit of cowlashing tomorrow and then they can set ourselves up for a decent total. This is a great opportunity that the OZ need to take advantage of.

Give the credit credit where due. Aus played well in last test too. Had it not been due to rain it would have been 2-1 and series would have been well alive. Your batsmen except 1 innings haven't performed that well so far in this series.

Or England might have ended the match on 300-3. There's no point saying what would have happened because we'll never know.

Carberry cannot travel , is not long term and England no longer do horses for courses. Tremleett has to be really match fit as he can be a real liability if he is still feeling his way into the game. I wouldn't mind if Tredders gets a game ahead of Bresnan at the Oval. He can bowl tidy, partner Swann nicely and chip in with solid scores down the order à'l big brezza :boycott

Shift of momentum due to match three rather.
You could say so. But with this England team the momentum shifts are quite abrupt. I wouldn't too be surprised if England after losing this game then go on to give Australia an almighty thrashing in London. Headingly 2009, Perth 2010 and Ahmedabad 2012 were most disheartening but the team itself did not take long to recover from those defeats.

England usually come back well after losing a Test, exception would be 'that' series in the UAE...

Plus England usually do well at the Oval. Even in the old days of getting hammered by Aussie we would often win there.
