Pujara has looked a class apart on this surface and how crucial a knock could his inns already be so far, this wicket looks like come day 3 it will probably have crumbled all together.
 
Why is the worst bowler in the match, and probably one of the worst ones so far this series bowling during this crucial period?
 
Broad is pointless in this situation and arguably in general also. Get him off

The test match has gotten quite a response here. Couldnt get today's day ticket and the tickets are being blacked for 2x and more. Till last evening, 26k of the 33k tickets had been sold out for the first 3 days. And no sir, nobody is buying tickets for Monday yet.

Note for BCCI: Test matches at the traditional venues and JAMODIs at smaller ones!

Assuming Pujara gets the ton, a few years down the road someone would pull out the stats and say that this was another hundred on a flat deck.
 
Once again a tailender helping out India, this happend against windies and kiwis not ago also.

agreed..same with sehwag while comparing his asia and outside asia stats..his 200 in sri lanka against murali and mendis was one of the very best...but since it is in asia it is inferior, and a hundred in west indies is superior because it is outside asia

good thing is players are not decided by forums using incomplete stats, but are rated by experts and their peers who know the context of the games.. otherwise if stats were the measure samaraweera is better than saeed anwar

I reciprocate your agreement. That 201 Sehwag got was an amazing inning and much better than his Adelaide hundred.

For a man who would not have played if Finn had been fit, Broad is looking very tame today.
 
Looking at the scorecard, it's evident that Indian batsmen have done poorly barring Pujara.

Monty has been very good so far.

But my point is, what has the supposedly best spinner in the world done so far on a track, where his junior spinner has got a bagful of wickets:ajmal

Awesome batting by Pujara once again :14:

He has fitted himself in so nicely into this Indian lineup. If only Kohli could replicate him at Test level, then it will make our middle order very strong against most attacks.

Side Note - Ashwin is doing a fantastic side kick role to Pujara thus far :)
 
If I were England....would I be too worried on this pitch?

Can't see the game, but I can see Ashwin is on 40*
 
Ashwin's batting has improved leaps and bounds in the last 2 years. Very valuable innings this is from him.

300 here for India would be a pretty massive total on this tricky surface.
