Just read in a local paper here that Liverpool are paying £125M for Isak and the medical is shceduled later today, according to David Ornstein

Works out to be £130m with solidarity payments, maybe a bit more considering Isak will rightly not be getting his loyalty bonus
I actually don't feel anywhere near as bad as I thought I would
Maybe it's because I've been expecting this deal to happen so came to terms with it a while ago, I even said last week I think £120m plus some add ons gets the deal (I even said last month when players push for a move they mostly get it)
There is a lot of anger amongst our fans but for me it's quite simple, Newcastle United was there before Isak and it will be there after him
I'm not going to blame the club like I did when we sold Carroll to them. This is very different, this situation has been engineered by Liverpool, Isak and his agent from the start. And ultimately players do hold the main card, which is stepping on to that pitch.
His behaviour meant an exit was the right thing and exit this summer was the right thing. Yes, we could have held on for another 6/12 months but what would we have gained from that? An extra £15m/£20m? Which considering the distraction and the cloud that would followed through the season isn't worth that much
We have doubled our money on him, our PSR situation will be very healthy in the medium term, we can fully focus our energy on the players that are at the club (well, a little bit of energy on hate watching too

).
We also know he's not the most robust, if he keeps picking up those niggles it may turn out to be a poor buy from Liverpool and suddenly the £130m will look even better.
