If the batsmen keep getting out from other end -- of course he'll keep batting even though he was trying his bet to get out.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. He could have fallen from his end too. It's not like he hasn't been on strike.

my eyes hurt dat blonde looks like an asian blonde lol .... aamer once again showing everyone how to bat eh,,,, such shameful stuff this the lot of them need dropping completely revamped team with aamer for captain :D lol

interesting to see how malik is the hot topic these days, everyone forgotten about afridi? been kinda missing his bowling yar..... malik survives another test series such sifarshi stuff going on stallion needs to go hide in his shell how dare he be part of the aus tour team lol

Kiwi batting is not playing terrible shots, just great bowling from us. Hard for the bowlers to be perfect every innings which is what our current batting asks for it to be sadly.

Wonder what the figures would be with/without Younis. I hate numbers but even that is more appealing to me right now than watching this performance.

Although with the number of tests he's played that means a lot more work for me

Since Malik's debut, in 16 tests without Younis we average 37.82 runs per wicket.

So we actually do better without Younis than we do without Malik. Will just crunch the numbers for how well we bat with Younis in that same period and get back to you in a minute

Watching the match on mute doesn't seem like a bad idea. I don't think I'm missing much worthy commentary.

I'm doing that from ball one. :D

If NZ get a 200+ lead then it's very tough for us to come back. Keep it to 50-100 and we are still fighting I reckon.

What did waqar say something about Inti about 5 minutes ago?

from cricinfo:

Farjad Tanveer: "Am I the only one or Amir does have a better technique then Farhat? No cross-the-line hoicks, bat-pad together, good line and lengths balls being left well. I would give amir more marks then farhat for all of the above!"

Found this amusing from Cricindia:

Yogesh: "O'Brien is one of those un-pretentious cricketers that everyone likes and everyone would be happy to see his success. And reminds that there is still place for honest trundlers in the world of superstar talents. Keep the blog going, Ian !"

Ok Yogesh, you strap on the pads and the helmet, grab a bat and wander out there to face the "honest trundler" bowling at 140kph+. You will be barely able to see the ball from the "honest trundler" and hopefully he hits you a few times in your stupid head.

How ironic!! An Indian calling O'Brien a trundler!!!!

yaar i need a software for video editing not a professional one just need it to cut down the size.

I just recorded a video its about 54sec. and the size is 50MB isnt it too much?

Aamer being the senior batsman is farming the strike and keeping Farhat away from the strike.

:)))

In all honesty, if we can get to 200+ (which we wont) then we will win the match.

OK guys. I have just done the results for the runs per wicket in matches that Younis plays in: Anyone care to have a guess?

Just to recap:

(All figures for tests since Malik made his debut)

Without Malik: 33.08 (37 tests)
With Malik: 38.78 (28 tests)

Without Younis: 37.82 (16 tests, included current test when we were 90/6)
With Younis: ????? (49 tests)

I think we can get around 180. Depends how long Aamer keeps Farhat off strike.

Closest guess gets a Mars Bar (or the equivalent sweet treat of their choice)
