Drinks break

63-2 off 15 overs.

Surely they should get one every 10 overs?

It's not easy to play during the heat. Players are already cooked before they could start playing

Swine flu has reached New York.
why have they named it 'swine' flu...i mean the word itself is a derogatory remark

Tony Grieg sounds terrible. Probably got the flu that everyone is dreading. I think its called swine flu.

Well i've been to UAE in the summer and i find the heat there to be bearable.. I mean its dry heat there..you don't sweat that much but in Pakistan its vice versa...go outside in 34 degrees and you 'll start sweating like hell.

Ahmad Shezad - 17 yeras old.

Fields like he is 117 years old.

Just likje Salman Butt when he first started.

Its not derogatory to anyone except Muslims & Jews...

Pakistan fielding really is a joke! These guys are meant to be international standard players!

Pakistan have really been sloppy in all aspects of game so far today!

Geoff is asking a good question "Which off spinner in the world can bowl the doosra without bending the arm"

It is literally swine flu what on earth are you going to call it? bird, or rabbit flu? anyway lets keep this thread related to cricket discussion.

Afridi should be playing test cricket with men close in he could be lethal on asian wickets.

Brilliant over from Afridi... its great to see how much respect the Australians are showing him

It's obvious Saqlain Mushtaq.

I haven't seen any spinner without bending the arm to bowl the doosra in a long time. That is definitely the good question

Can hear the players clearly today. I like that not sure why anyone would be annoyed by this.

Looked like Clarke put his bat in front of Malik on purpose there.. cant be sure though

I like hearing players.

I dont like screaming & screetching wicket-keepers. Esp ythose who have high pitched voices!

Something's gotta give.. Afridi vs Haddin

good spin on the last ball

or it could be other way like Malik tries to touch bat before the ball :D
Thought of bring this statement by myself before you hear this from any Aussie

I think Pakistan has great chance of winning today. If spinners continue to insert some pressure it won't easy hitting out in the end against Ajmal or the fast bowlers.

73-2 after 18.1 overs

Good comeback by Pakistan, I would think.

Another wicket, and we're game. (In America, that means, we're good to go)

Really good captaincy from YK by bringing in Malik...

If Malik gets going than Pakistan would bring Ajmal replacing Afridi after 5-6 overs, that would mean Afridi can bowl in crucial period of 35-45 overs...

This partnership has been all about consolidation and it's been a pretty important one from an Aussie perspective. Sets it up nicely for them to lift the run rate.

Another wicket or two now and we can really apply the brakes.

We have 5 regular bowlers then why malik is bowling
It's 40 degrees and the ball is gripping and turning. I doubt Younis would bowl his faster men for their entire quotas.

And rewarded.

ARY IDIOTS!

Missed Malik's wkt!

4th time theyve missed teh 1st ball of the over

and batting first was considered better ? I think Pak batsmen would have struggled in the heat !

There you go! Haddin looked like a rabbit in headlights after he got out... i think Afridi set that up for Malik by drying out the runs

As someone predicted that Brad Haddin will leave so soon. And that's exactly what has happened.

Exactly. Good instincts from Younis.

With bowling like that from Malik we don't need a specialist offie in our ODI team.

If we can get Clarke before they reach 100, that would be a very, very good thing for Pakistan.

absolutely hit the nail on the head sparhawk. Pressure applied by Afridi and Malik gets his man :malik

aussies making mess of themselves and making pak spinners look better than they are

this is imp phase of game. this partnership needs to be broken

Finally you have new material. Ary missed a wicket instead of the first ball. btw the wicket was on the first ball..oh well

This is definitely a spinner's pitch.. haven't seen Malik and Afridi turn like that for a while

Half of that wicket goes to Afridi's efforts ....

Agaya Sher-e-Australia .... Symonds ka bacha....
