the defensive stance gives way too much confidence to the bowlers

We advanced score from 103/2 to 116/3. That is 13 runs in 10 overs!

Lost crucial wicket of Younis Khan. Imran Farhat has been dropped twice ... and the way he's playing, it's anybody's bet!

Pakistan is +12, with three wickets gone. Farhat and Inzi at the crease. Beyond them, Faisal and Kamran, followed by the tail.

I'm still engaged ... but it doesn't look good.
 
need to keep the strike rotated with quick singles, especially with a left/riight handed combination

well he must have planned all this before. Play slowly but making 13 in 10 overs painful not slow.

patience my friend, its like a game of chess at the moment.
 
Inzimam is pushing some singles through finally. This is where we miss Yousuf the most, he is just as good as good as any in keeping the strike rotated. The young guns like Kamal, Faisal Iqbal and the others will have to play out of there skins to get us in a good position.

46.4 Kallis to Imran Farhat, no run, pitched up outside the off stump and Farhat taps it away towards cover, he is looking bit over cautious at the moment - should be Inzi's presence at the other end :))

3 runs have come in the last four overs. Imran has scored 10 runs today, off 51 balls that he's faced.

What's going on??? Are they **trying** to compound the pressure on themselves? Lest they lose a wicket or two, shouldn't they at least have a few runs on the board???

A total of 26 runs today, in 16 overs.
 
Be patient guys. I bet its not easy out there. Seems the South Africans are not giving too many easy runs away, like some of our bowlers did.

shan is obsessed with run rates. He was talking about it in our first innings as well.

It seems that the S Africans are really bowling well!
BTW on IF's shout the ball was clipping the leg stump.

fair enough, but the way he negotiated the first ball, even kaneria would have been proud of his own foot work.

Yes its a test match Shan and sometimes a rr of 1.5 is what the batting team can achieve, against tight bowling, good fielding and a pressure situation.

Would you prefer if the rr was 4 an over but we were all out with a lead of just 60 ?

i have seen the painful (not for me) partnership between tendu and dravid where they lost the test from winning position.

INZI looking good, I cant believe Farhat has edged his way to 50? :))) LOL I think he scored atleast 5 boundaries of the edges in this little cameo..

well rr, a number of Prince's runs were inside and outer edges too.
 
What happened guys, I thought Farhat was suppose to get out "any moment now"?
 
This is bad news, if Farhat hits a 100 we may never see Salmat Butt again and he is pure class :(
