I trust MOYO here but can someone plz tell Umer to take it easy and dont give away ur wicket.
he is agressive and you can say by the last over of katich. from 1st ball of katich he went for his shots and in the end still got one boundary in the end

LOL! I think that's been obvious from the second ball of our innings though - they didn't want to die wondering after Napier, wanted to either hit out or get out. I guess they had low confidence in their ability to bat 4.5 sessions to save at MCG, decided..what the heck...let's give it a go. That's been the approach of all the batters, and was obvious in the way Yousuf is playing like its the old "Youhana" - airy fairy and a bit irresponsible - ie very unlike how he normally bats now.
 
Great to see Pakistan playing some positive cricket. They have lost wkts but they have also put themselves in a chance to win.

after so many years! we are going into a 5th day match against aussies where we might be able to win the game.

that too with a second string bowling attack and not a full-strength batting line-up.

good work boys..only if you had put a decent effort in 1st innings

A brother typed 160/2 at close a while ago and I said I will take it InshaAllah.
And now I am satisfied with 170/3 as we have to of our best players still there.

If pakistan bat all day they will obviously win.

No, no, no you don't understand. They're not thinking "oh let's put up a fight", they're not thinking about saving face, they don't care about the first three innings of this match.

These two seriously believe, with every fibre in their body, that we WILL win this game
 
Good positive play today. Only if we had done the same in the first inning
 
We can play slow and still have enough time. Just need to make sure we leave good balls and score on the bad balls. No hurry take your time and we have a chance to make history.
A lot will depend on these two and when Aussies get the new ball just after lunch

would have been nicer with 2 down......... but this is not bad too.
At least we didn't have a collapse like Aus 2nd innings.

Pak will have 35 overs with the old ball...they need to capitalize on this and score 150 with the old ball...then then 100 more with the new one....

I'd say 25% Pakistan win 40% Australia win 35% Draw.
As the partnership grows, Pakistan's chances grow with it.

if we don't losse these 2 till lunch............ then we get the upper hand.

Very important 1st session tomorrow.
 
A great days play - im happy with how things have gone.

We have atleast got the Australians sweating a bit - and thats more than most expected.

Yousuf and Umar have played well BUT they must put on a BIG partnership - they have to take us well above 300 if we want to have a chance of winning this game

No chance of a draw. If we bat out the whole day, we'll win.

Umer is hit and miss...can't be relied upon...Akmal though susceptible to brain farts here and there has shown in the past to play gritty and head downed innings...so its upto these two...Yousuf to setup it up and hang in there for as long as possible and Kamran to bring it home...
 
so what do you guys think for tomorrow. Play out the lunch session watchfully by scoring 65-70 runs and then hopefully these 2 will be there and attack after that, or just play like right now?
