Ok Azhar really needs to up his RR now, too much pressure on him now
 
Selfish 50! Although effective enough I guess! But SR which is under 60 needs to go above 85!
 
If we need to push up the RR then this is the time! Go after these 2. Rest of the bowlers, specially pace bowlers wouldn't give us enough chance.

Since Babar's departure, we've lost the momentum :(
 
Can Azhar Ali do a Rohit Sharma...usually in Rohit's big innings...this is the time around he goes crazy to get a big score when he is settled like this

Babar was the only one providing momentum. Azhar has been batting same way since ball one.
 
Azhar has played well since I started watching at over 16. He must have had a bad start
 
Now keeper doing his fair share of tuk tuking
 
In every partnership so far this inns the batsmen other then Azhar has done bulk of scoring and a good rate, while Azhar has just batted like a snail!

if he sees a bad ball why not? otherwise it should be malik and sarfrazs job!!

Azhar wasn't just the non striker but he is the captain too even sharjeel knew he has edge it .
Of course sharjeel is the main culprit but azhar should take responsability too.
 
Malik used to be a frontline batsman....now he is at No.6 when the team is in a tricky situation

Is he the lower order power hitter now :))
 
It looks like Azhar is about to smash the ball down the pitch but then he ends up defending it.
 
over 32 -36 are key overs..need sarfraz to up the ante and azhar to continue to anchor!!
 
A captain' knock, well deserved fifty! Pak still has a chance of making 280+ it's definitely not the life sucking innings that some are making it seem
 
Some people unhappy with Holding's comments about Pak's test ranking, but he actually said that he feels Pak deserves to be nr 1 because they are a good side overall everywhere. On the other side in the past teams like India have been nr 1 according to this system which was not accurate[Holding].

He disagrees with the ranking system but thinks Pak deserves to be at the top. So what's wrong?
 
pakistan need to be scoring at least 6 runs an over off these spinners here.
 
I am not sure what Sharjeel was trying to do there really.

There was no way he "unheard" or even "unfelt" that knick. Also, why does he thinks his wicket is so important after scoring 150 something against Ireland attack which even Tamim was destroying in a 12 over T20 match in world T20.
 
Morgan doesn't rate these two nor hafeez he had decide to bring root when sharjeel get out and now he prefers to get over his spin overs even thought he just has to bring the pacer to shut the runs with those two.
 
So wait Sharjeel's knock of 16 with 2 streaky boundaries is justified but a gut scoring a 50+ when 3 wickets are down in 25 overs is the culprit?
 
I think the moment Azhar see we've made 6 runs in a over, he doesn't even bother to make any effort to make more runs (such a pathetic mindset). Instead, should go for more, because bowler is under pressure and an over of 6 runs on 4 balls can easily be converted into 10-12-14 runs over...Salli his mentality and approve is killings us :mv

i assume he means the tests lol the parosees will be burning and commiting suicide!!
 
Looks like whatever coach Pak get it doesn't change their mindset of the 90's to defend upfront and attack late!
 
Azhar playing the quintessential :raja innings. Chugging along at a strike rate in the mid-sixties. Would have been handy if this was 1992.

no whats killing us is useless players like hafeez and sharjeel followed by legends like malik!!
 
The problem with Azhar is he doesn't have the power or shots to accelerate and it ends up being a nothing innings when he eventually gets out. He should be scoring at least run a ball from here.

Even though he is rubbish against pacer still he is better than sarfraz .
And it's ideal for sarfraz to be here right now he rotate and take the odd boudarie against spinner.
 
Even in this partnership Azhar is playing with snail pace. 32 runs, 7.1 overs, RR: 4.46 (Azhar Ali 14, Sarfraz Ahmed 18) ... what a shame!!!
 
What's the point in sending Sarfraz he can't attach on these two spinners?

dont have the players in the batting so have to make do with what we have!! not azhars fault the rest are lulloos!! great shot for four from azhar..aur kya karay??
 
Seems like Mickey isn't a big fan of Malik. Malik at 6 is useless so he is basically telling him to hit big boundaries or retire.
