Never thought i will see this as a Pakistani fans. Used to see england getting demolished by us. Hell even In 2006 and 2010 we played really good odi cricket. Cant entirely blame azhar, what can he do if they bowlers arent great enough to take wickets, they lack skills and talent. Amir looked fine, but at same time looked so tired and worn out. Pakistan better of resting him after today loss. And bring in Rizwan poor guy benching all along. 😂 This is epic embarrassment.

Oh I'm not taking anything away from this lineup. Roy,Hales and Buttler make OZ batsmen look weak but the lack of balance between bat and ball makes the ODI game a bit unwatchable for those who grew up watching ODIs in the 90's.

ODI pitches have always been flat. Its the batsmen that have changed their attitude towards it.

When you have a team full of power hitters like England or Aus or WI, 400 is always on cards. These teams are relentless.
 
Butler is a scary, scary ODI batsman. How i wish he was playing for India.

We would be unbeatable.

Why are you blaming the two new balls? Pakistan couldn't score more than 260 with two balls.

This is just some seriously poor bowling from Pakistan and some seriously good hitting from England.
 
Okay let's face it the problem here are Wahab and Amir ! They are not up to the mark, they are no where near to be good bowlers. Azhar did use the bowlers wrong but none of the experienced caps are giving him a breathing space. All the Amir fans will be furious now but that's the harsh reality.

Honestly I wanted Irfan to play today, he bowls wicket to wicket and the heights comes in as a advantage. The English batsmen have taken us apart. Our bowlers are very predictable they will give the ball some air and when they are tossed for Boundary the is a dart in.

Pakistan has always been a better test side than India if we take out the period during which we were regularly winning matches at home and competing abroad. Even now I would agree with Pakistan being better than India in tests. I was talking about LOIs. 10-0 >>>>>> 72-53 or something.
 
must admit . . fantastic captaincy to bring on an off spinner with butler in this kinda form . . he has saved amirs 4 overs . . going at less than 5 per over . . this is it! azhar ali planned to win this with amir in the last 8 overs!!

True, but they averaged around 312 in reply to the Australians and all the games were well contested. India and Australia are currently the two top teams, and India quite nicely dominates Pakistan 11-0 on the biggest stage or did you forget? On current form that streak will reach 20-0.

Not gonna lie Amir has actually bowled pretty well and has been very unlucky.

Blaming Amir will be wrong. He is tired you can tell, only in Pakistan cricket bowlers played 4 test matches yet no breather for him in odi. I would have rested him in first 2 ODI and played some fresh faces. Same goes with wahab.

Amir is going under 5 RPO in a match where the average is 8 RPO - take the hatred elsewhere, he's the best bowler in this team!
 
And now with 350 on the board, lets bowl out Amir. Good decision kuptaan, good decision!

He should have finished his quota 10 overs ago. There's no point saving your best bowler, your most economical bowler on the day, for when the opposition have 350 on the board. What's he going to achieve?

Unfortunately the administrators think this sort of slogathon is what sells.

Flat pitches, powerful bats, two new balls, fielding restrictions and smaller boundaries have totally distorted the balance between bat and ball.

But take nothing away from England, this is a very explosive and skilled batting lineup. Pakistan don't have a single clean hitter of the ball of the same calibre.
 
I'm just laughing at this point, honestly whoever thinks that on a flat track like this Pakistan wouldn't concede 450 is delusional. Our bowling is bad enough as it is, don't need flat tracks lol.
 
Few days back, Donal posted a summary of how many one sided Test matches. I am just wondering, how many close ODIs are played these days?
 
So england's highest score against Pakistan was 363 in 1992. Would like to see the scorecard of that match.
