No problems with Junaid getting dropped tbh, he's been rubbish for a while now.
 
Abbott playing as I had hoped. Surprised by the lack of Starc but I guess they want to see Richo at the death

Don't be too deterred. They will fail miserably and we can laugh at PCB who will try and spin it that Shafiq is "young"
 
australia will kill anwar ali.....maqsood is ur best batting talent....and he keeps getting dropped after every 2 matches
 
So like Shehzad, Misbah, Asad and Fawad. Most one dimensional ODI line up ever in recent history ?\

sohaib not playing .... not good. and misbah playing on 3 (media pressure) umar akmal not keeping (whining).
our team is not in a good spirit.
 
Something better be done. I seriously think misbah should be dropped with the management. This is not the best XI at all from teh squad. this is just pathetic and shafiq now must have batted at every spot so that he can get a place in ODI.

True but the guy replacing him is worse than current Cheema. You'll find it out. Should have played a spinner Raza Hasan.

I pray Pakistan loose because Noway this combination will lift world cup.

He can bat a bit and you need an A/R in the team or else you'd just have 6 batsmen (including a keeper) and a very long tail.

The problem is Anwar is not an allrounder.

And you don't drop a pacer averaging 20 odd over the last year just because of two bad games. He is still the best pacer in Pakistan.
 
I dont want to say this..

But m8sbah should be blamed for asad over maqsood. This is ridiculous.

No he isn't.

He's been ineffective for a while now with the new ball and has started to get taken to the cleaners at the death as well.

Anwar will probably share his overs with Fawad, well he should, he's not good enough to be bowling 10.
 
This selection is not a very promising one. We are not playing our best team but I hope they win. They need to bowl really really well.

but first we need good 10 overs of bowling from him? He's overrated as a batsman as well. One or two fluke knocks doesn't mean he is an all rounder.
 
I think every pak cricket fan is mad at this line up. Pathetic and frankly if we win by one man miracles then misbah will continue this line up for the next few matches. Thats how backward our thinking is.

He won't be bowling 10, JK has been going for plenty in his overs as well. In this case, at least you get a bowler with decent batting ability instead of an out and out tailender.

If we count Afridi as an all rounder (lol) then Pakistan is only playing one specialist spinner. Shouldn't there be one more in these conditions?

Though I think the Australian team is pretty light on for batting. Faulkner at 6?

Seeing no Hasan really removes that as a concern though
 
From today i am not going to support pak team until thees moron gets retired i.e.misbah,afridi
Was hoping from morning to see this match to raza, maqsood, not uncle babar,& shafiq misbah u made us to not support pak team anymore
 
If raza hasan is injured .... nothing we can do.
Sohaib should have been played .....
We could have tried Sami Aslam as an opener ... but I hope Asad does well.

Shehzad: 71
Asad Shafiq: 69
Misbah: 74
Fawad: 77
Sarfaraz: 71
 
Sarfraz as a specialist keeper really harms you guys.

Umar Akmal should have been convinced into doing that job.

it is not a bad team but we should have played our best team to take a lead ... it is only 3 ODI not 5 ODI.
 
Man i think we are done in this match even before a ball is bowled, i think this is the worst team selection ever in Pak history, but even if this team beat aussies than they really gonna suck, it will be a miracle if Pak win with this team. Pak management don't have the brain level even equal to street fan of Pak team, for God sake kick them all after this pathetic team selection.

Honestly speaking, I looked at the bowling lineup and I can't say with conviction whether this lineup is even good.

Irfan (who goes off steam after his first spell)
Wahab
Zulfi
Afridi (you never know what he will come up with)
Anwar (if he bowls 10 overs, min 70-80 runs guaranteed)

Is this bowling lineup even better than India's one?

Sarfraz was brought in for Maqsood going by what a few Misbahites. But we'll have to see who happens to see if that's the case, I expect Sarfraz to open with Shafiq to come in at 3. Which will indicate Maqsood was dropped for Shafiq.

we have three options for opening: asad, umar and sami. sami hasnt played a match, umar we know and asad is the safest bet right now. he is actually a little courageous.
 
Asad wants to bat at 3, I expect him to bat at 3.

Media have been reporting Sarfraz will be opening as well.

Where has the idea of Asad opening come from?

Oh Lala calm down. The team is selected now, let us just hope for the best. I have seen worse pakistani line ups. There are some proper batsmen in this team so let's analyse after the match.
 
Why isn't there an offspinner in our team!? Are we not allowed to play one if Ajmal is out..

Yaar buddy ...... I am hoping to win. but seriously they have made us a little nervous.
and you know what is a little worrying it is all media and politically motivated, that is what is worrying me.
