That's what I don't get. Why did Younis decide to promote Misbah ahead of Malik?

Misbah can be promoted only if the team is trying to get benefit of the power plays.

But from the way Misbah played it didn't look like that was the plan. If they wanted someone who can hang around and rotate strike for long then it should have been Malik and not Misbah.

Either Captain took a wrong decision or Misbah didn't play as the captain wanted.

If you ask me, someone who is a very limited player has no role in the team. Misbah never ever impressed me as a class player anyways, good hitting will win you games initially in your career but the guy is 35, is now being worked over by major teams, has a poor poor technique against the moving ball and does a huge disservice to the team and the rest of the batters. with his bloody tuk tuk.

I agree now, having Fawad in his place wont do us any harm infact gives us more options.
