PSL 2018 Match 17: Quetta Gladiators seal stunning last-over win in thriller against Multan Sultans

Hope Badar gets to bat, and Saud Shakeel gets a game. I have been repeating that since the start of PSL :facepalm:
 
Another poor and embarassing display coming up in the ESL today.

Hope Maxi comes good today again.

If he does have a good PSL, then he'll be called for the national team, then batted at no. 6 because no one else can hit like him, then fails at no. 6 and then booted out - the life of an aggressive, power hitting batsman in Pak.
 
Just saw a video clip of Azam Khan's batting, and I can tell you he looked impressive. He was so composed at the crease, was playing spin so well, touch of Inzamam in him, and boy, he is a powerful striker of the ball. He should play this game. Quetta mustn't waste him.

Yes they should. He is a professional athlete, and isn't playing some gully mohalla cricket. Every self respecting sportsman should adhere to a strict code. What if his body can't take the stresses and vigours of modern international level cricket and he collapses?

He should work on his fitness, but if he impresses, then should playing, and work on his fitness alongside.

while he has the skills to suceed in the lower order, he does not have the mental ability to deal with that pressure. I'd much rather Talat who looks so composed when he plays.

Maqsood has never consistently been sucessful down the order, not in Intl cricket, not in PSL and not in domestic.

Fitness standards are there, but now that he is in the squad, can hit big, then why not try him? It is not necessary that every 'mota' will smash it, and you don't select on the basis of body figures, performances matter more, this is common sense, lol.

I was making the point, that batsmen like him are seen as no. 6 batsmen or openers only.

Never ever will the Pak management think of batting him at no. 3 or 4, where he belongs and where he will find success.
 
Umar Amin is sit out and Shafiq returns, still no sign of Shakeel. Kya baqwas hai :facepalm:
 
Why do they keep on playing Saif Badar? He doesn't seem impressive at all. Why not try Azam Khan?
 
Multan Sultan have Badar slotted in at 8.... why even play him then? So much for Malik giving chances to youngsters. This is MS's 7th game and Badar has played all but not even a single substantial chance to bat.
 
Chris Green should be given a go, he is an off spinner, with a decent action.

Thats true, i agree with you there he is a number 3 or 4, the issue though is we have too many of those.
 
With these types of selections I want QG to not even make the semis.
 
We at least he did not drop Rameez Raja Jr to bring back a friend. I hope they get thrashed.
 
All teams playing TTFs but Multan trying out new players every game.
 
Need a few early wickets of MS so that Badar gets a bat.
 
I called it last match that the sarfaraz will bring his friend back next game. Hope they get smashed.

Nawaz is miles better than Imad as a bowler..... the common perception is that Imad is a better bat, if Nawaz improves his batting then he wipes the floor with Imad.
 
If one need to be picked between Nawaz and Imad, then its Nawaz. Playing both in the team doesn't make sense.
 
Shezzy doing his usual tuk tuk. What is his game plan for t20, someone should really ask him that..

Nawaz has improved his hitting lately. Seen it in NZ series and PSL.
 
How good a WK Sarfraz is? He hear the nick while the bowler cannot hear it
 
Perfect opportunity to send Badar and they send Tanvir.... PCB needs to step in... its TTF galore in PSL.
 
That Robinson always a smirk of disbelief whenever his decisions (quite a few so far) are over turned.

That just means he has better hearing. Although Anwar Ali did appeal too. Next put Srafaraz on a pedestal just because he can smell biryanis from a mile away.
 
Shehzad is so trash why am I wasting my fantasy points on this rubbish. Thought he was in good form in domestic, but he's been exposed here.

On a side note, there’s a barbershop I go to in Jackson Heights where Chacha Tanvir and Lala visited. They have the photos posted on the front.
 
Shehzad will be dropped for Masood. :)) these are the worst two franchises imo in terms of new talent getting a chance. So annoying.

You should never take domestic stats seriously for a player who fails for an extended time in international cricket. Khuram, Shehzad, Kamran, etc.
 
I hope to see a good innings from Sohaib to further make his case for a come back!!!hopefully he has learn a thing or two from past mistakes..

He hit big in his last innings. However, he mistimed a lot of shots that would have been caught on bigger grounds than Sharjah.

There is literally no good Pakistani opener in this tournament besides Fakhar. :(
 
Despite LQ failing like no tomorrow, atleast they give fresh talent a chance.
