An enthralling day of Test cricket ends with both results still possible, despite India being much in the driver's seat.
The day started with Anderson dismissing Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal. Shubman Gill then steadied the ship, stitching together partnerships with Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel as he found some form again. He was sketchy to start off but grew in the innings and ended up scoring his 3rd Test hundred. Some inventive captaincy from Ben Stokes, who kept changing fields and posing new challenges to the batters, helped get Gill's wicket.
Following that, the rest of the Indian team folded pretty easily as England's inexperienced spinners gave a good account of themselves with Root out injured for most of the day. India set a daunting target of 399 for the visitors, out of which England has knocked off 67 runs. A positive start from Crawley and Duckett, but the latter fell in Ashwin's first over.
The pitch is still fairly decent to bat on, although there is some variable bounce now. Should be a fun-filled Monday; let's see how the game proceeds.
