That's supposedly a nice omen as it has been proving from past week or so that whatever you say will not come true!!India will not win another Test in this series, history says so.

Its good to have 5 bowlers but there is no use putting someone higher in the batting order if they aren't good enough. But tbf Ashwin is doing well so let's see how he goes against other teams.
I saw him bat in Aus closely. To be honest, he batted better than some of the specialist Indian test batsmen. I read somewhere in PP that he used to play as an opener so no wonder he looked comfortable against pace bowlers in Aus. My opinion about him was purely based on how he was batting in Aus.
from 123/4 to 234/5. That's some fancy numbers

Lets hope they make it 345/6 and 456/7 as well.
Then 567/8...and 678/9 and finally 789 all out.
SL 952 record just miss.
Damn.
Why u no score 1000 runs team India?
Yes Ashwin was indeed an opener. He looks good tbf. Think he can definitelydo a job at 7. Number 6 seems a little high.
So we ended up dropping Che for Tailunt and ended up playing just like Che does...
Someone needs to get it across to Kohli that all Sharmas end up in a heartbreak
Hopefully Che will regain his spot in next test....he is the best number 3 we have in the country
Not just Che, we dropped Vijay also.
I think Saha did a great job and can be finally rated a finer test batsman than dhoni. He has a problem with power and timing but he is gritty as hell.
.
Don't we have a single decent left handed batsman in domestic?

TBH i think Rahane has to cop quite a bit of blame for going into such a shell in the second session. Being careful is something, this was something else altogether. Thing about going ultra slow is that you will allow to do what they please, and you will get out, and since you didn't score anything...you will end up worse than before.

Dhoni averaged close to 50 in Asia and about 30 outside. Saha has a long way to go before he can be called a better batsmen than Dhoni.
M Vijay, who has the best average among all of India's batsmen since India's tour of England tour since 2014 was left out, despite recovering from a thumb injury.
Saha has more grit.
He may not be a Dhoni level batsman but he has WAY more fight in him.
His gritty knocks in SL, SA and WI series won't look good on stats but they are very impactful.
Actually going by that list, tailunted is as good a batsman as Jadeja,Mishra,Binny and Shami only. Bhuvi and Ashwin are better than him as batsmen alone. Most undeserving cricketer in our squad and i thought Binny was the worst

I'll chose talent over grit. He isn't one who can make a century.
It's better to invest on a talented player who is failing than a player like saha who is just mediocre.
I would rather have Mishra in the team as he at least adds value with the ball. Tailut doesn't add any value to the team. He has scored probably couple of fifties here and there (I think he did okay in the SL series). After the home series against WI, he has basically traveled to all the countries with the team and did nothing. He still finds place in the team replacing our best test batsman (in terms of average) over the last 2 years.
sensible-indian-fan why u worried mate ? Cummins got one to stay low and the other to take a nasty lift in consecutive balls
Indians working hard for a draw.
300 up. Good effort by Ash and Saha sensible-indian-fan
Ash is the best cricketer in our team.

Looks like they might go for a change in ball, balls not going throughthe rings
The ball should go through only one of those rings.
Ashwin has to speed up.
At this rate, Rohit might need to bat below Ashwin and Saha and if Jaddu and BK hit a 50, then they might get a promotion too

Well played Saha.
One thing I'll give him is he values his wicket. He fights it out and doesn't throw it away.
