Hafeez needs to get 150+...him and :yk are key for us to get a good lead...hopefully :yk gets a big 100 as well...

Pakistans session, scored just under a 100 very good for our boys. England will be happy to pick up two wickets though.

Hopefully this pair will make em toil in the afternoon session.

So......question to all......will there be a result here.....

Can lightening strike twice effectively....considering that inspite of being 90 odd for 7, england almost reached 200....

it will get tougher for them to play spin later on so yeah result is on our way :)

expecting a 9 wicket win for pakistan

If England can get Pakistan all out for 250 to 270, then it will be quite interesting. But :yk averages like :don here and has faced better attack consisting of steyn and friends so my prediction. Pakistan will score 692/5 declare

England 600/7 second innings It will be a tuk tuk draw unless :ajmal strikes twice

But lightening won't strike twice. :fawad

right now we got to bat time not necessarily runs. Azhar would have been good for grinding and frustrating them. His wicket was a pretty big blow.

key session coming up, Barbie and Jimmy are both getting a hint of reverse, if we can weather that storm then it should be smooth sailing, Tremlett and Swann have looked ineffective.

need Hafeez to kick on and YK needs to show his characteristic toughness.

both Azhar and Taufeeq got good deliveries, can't blame them.

Good stuff from Broad, still miles off though. We need to win a session very soon to start our series off properly, or this test will slip away.

It's important Hafeez doesn't throw it away and leave it to the rest, a big hundred is needed.

If England get Pakistan out for 320 or less there is a game on, if not Pakistan will win.

huge shout by england

LBW

strauss thought of reviewing it ... but umpire said .. 15 secs gone

Good shout against Younus there, would have been umpire's call.

They're looking to work on the ball so it will reverse later.

If they want to take an adequate amount of wickets today, it's going to be exceptionally hard work.

England bowling surprisingly well. Doesn't count for anything if they don't take wickets though.

Younis looking a little iffy

He's just surviving

Let's hope he gets through this patch

Hafeez needs to man up and pull those short balls, he is really good at those so no point in holding back.

People who were questioning Gul's pace should look at how phaaast the english bowlers are bowling here. They are all bowling around 130 kph and Anderson not even touching that.

You need to understand that several factors here suggests you can't bowl 145 kph in these conditions!

And that Cheema was bowling around 138 kph yesterday is actually pretty sharp under these circumstances.

England bowling pretty well, keeping the scoring rate down. Good tight lines, need to pick up a couple of wickets though.

What are those factors ? Not questioning you but just more curious than anything.

Is it just they dont want to bowl faster as they feel its just waste of energy or that they "cant" because of hot and humid conditions.

Hafeez 76*
Younis 16*

well its not just that .. there should be also zip on the wicket .. that when u bend your back .. it goes through ..... but here .. the pitch is slow .. the bowl doesn't lift the same way:wasim
