But in this innings he went after the ball like it was T20. He will hot 4 and sixes in his tet inning but he just needs to be more responsible and not try to hit out every single ball. As a captain he needs to show some responsibility.

Butt should be farming the strike with the last ten and trying to score as many runs as possible.Dr. Khan said:Butt should be farming the strike with the last three and trying to score as many runs as possible.
No one would've blamed Afridi for getting out playing defensively. At least that would've meant he is trying to practice what he's been preaching, i.e. change your thinking from T20 to test mode. Isn't that what he's been telling all his players in the past couple of weeks? What did he do today? Why doesn't it apply to him? C'mon, you've gota call a spade a spade.tauseefm said:Come on guys stop blaming Afridi. If he had gotten out by defending your argument would've been, "i told you he is not a test match player" Stop bashing and start worrying about partnerships. btw I think umar akmal and kamran akmal played worst shots then afridi. The ball umar got out was nothing more then a straight delivery.

MCMLXXXII said:Afridi's innings was perfectly fine for a number 7 batsman in a situation where we did not have two debutants and a solid #3 and #4 playing in the team. you can't rely on Afridi to bat a whole day. He will give you quick runs but other batsmen need to step up. Everyone knows this is how Afridi plays. I will always support someone playing positively and had he stayed on to score another 20-30 runs, we would have been applauding his effort where everyone else failed.
fawad_wellwisher said:Bad cricket from Salman TBH. Letting Gul take the bulk of the strike.
